SYNOPSIS: You show up with your four-year-old daughter, which is Pierre's. You broke up after you told him you were pregnant, and now he sees your daughter for the first time.

Sean Gelael was nervous when he watched his friends seated at the table. He glanced over at Pierre, who was comfortably leaned back in his chair. The group of friends was enjoying their time in the restaurant in Ibiza, the summer heat translated in the sweat on their bodies, shirts unbuttoned and opened. Sean was one of the few people who knew that Pierre's ex-girlfriend was pregnant before she left him, and he was also one of the few people who knew that Pierre regretted it that he never went to look for her. Especially now he was driving so well in Formula 1, he missed the company of his girlfriend, even though you had broken up over four years ago. He still missed you every day. He often told Sean that he wondered if you kept the baby, if you had a little boy or girl. Sean had searched for you, and he found you. You had called for hours before he left to Ibiza, in which he begged you to come back to Pierre, to at least let him know that there was a little girl running around who was his.

You were hesitant to accept his offer. Your daughter wasn't aware of a father in her life, and she had never asked about it. She always thought that having just a mother was the same for every child in the world. She didn't know Pierre, she didn't know of his existence. A part of you wanted to keep it that way. Your life was easy now, after cutting all contact with Pierre. His career would never allow you to have a baby together at such a young age, and if you were honest, you had not given him a chance at all. After you discovered you were pregnant, you had a long conversation about it, but the frustration in Pierre's eyes, and the many times he had asked how you could be pregnant while you were always so careful, let you know, and feel, that the pregnancy was unwanted. Nevertheless, the fact that Pierre's friend, Sean, called you, and was desperate to tell you about how much Pierre missed you, and how dearly Pierre wished you didn't get another number, or deleted all your socials.

It made you accept his offer to come to Ibiza, because if Pierre wouldn't react well to the whole thing Sean arranged, you could still have some time off with your daughter on the other side of the island. Sean was happy you were willing to come, and he had been so kind to arrange everything for you, without Pierre knowing. The end of the evening came in sight, and the group of friends paid their bill. Sean told you to come up to the restaurant, so you and Pierre could stay behind, have something to drink or to eat together. You were nervous while standing there, holding your daughter's hand. Your heart was beating like crazy against your ribcage when you saw the guys coming out of the restaurant. You caught a glimpse of Pierre's appearance, and you turned your face. You never expected it to hurt so much to see him again. You turned around completely, ready to leave. This had been a bad idea, you shouldn't have co- "Y/N?" His voice made you freeze in your position.

You turned back to him, your daughter moved to half hide behind your summer dress. "What are you doing here? How are you?" Pierre's eyes lit up as he neared you. "Sean called me," you revealed. "He said it would be good if we start talking again," you said. You looked up at him, the Spanish sun had already tanned him well. "There's a lot we need to go over," Pierre said, his smile sinking slightly, and his eyes directed to the little girl who shyly looked up at him. He waved at her, which made her giggle. "Come on, let's sit down," he suggested, and he took you back to the restaurant. You sat down at a table, and you pulled your daughter into your lap. Pierre studied the girl for a moment, before looking back at you. "She's yours," you blurted out. "I was pregnant with her when we broke up," you added. Pierre didn't reply, but his hand extended, and he caressed her cheek, making her giggle again. "I never got why you left me, Y/N," Pierre spoke up after a few minutes.

"I didn't assume you'd want a baby in your life at that age, Pierre," you chuckled. "I didn't," Pierre confirmed. "But there's always a way," he said, the look on his face so gentle, you felt your eyes become watery. "You never gave me a chance after I expressed my concerns about a baby. If we spoke a day after that, I would have told you that it was going to be tough, but that we would get through. You cut me out of your life, you made your own life with a child, being a single mother, extremely hard for yourself, while you didn't have to. I tried to call you, I tried to find you, figure out where you'd be," Pierre said. "I'm sorry," you wiped your cheeks. "It was just such an overwhelming period of time," you sniffled. "I know," Pierre's knuckles grazed your face, drying your tears. "She's four now," you said. "Four years passed, I assume you've moved on," you shrugged. "I never moved on," Pierre chuckled. "And I don't think I can, knowing we have this beautiful girl together," he said.

"We should try again, please," Pierre continued. "She deserves to have a father," he added. "And I just want you back," he finished. You looked into his eyes again, a small smile curling your lips. Pierre smiled back at you, and he leaned forward to nuzzle his nose against yours. It felt so familiar to be this close to him, and the kiss he pressed to your lips made your heart flutter. "Mommy, why are you kissing this man?" Y/D/N asked, looking up at Pierre with a puzzled look on her face. "There's a lot to explain, sweetheart," you said, laughing softly while moving your fingers through her hair. "There surely is," Pierre agreed. "But we can take it slow, we have all the time in the world to start over. You have to promise me one thing, though," he said, and you nodded slowly. "Don't ever leave me again, no matter what happens," he said, and the seriousness in his eyes showed you that he never wanted you to wander from his side again.

"I promise," you smiled, and he kissed you again.
