Chapter 4. Better Off As Friends

2nd day School Festival 2021....

Author's POV

Jimin, Minnie, Giselle, Jinyoung, and Bambam were all playing frisbee.

"Hey... no fair!" Giselle whined like a kid after Bambam had hit her with the frisbee.

"Anyways, where' Lisa? It feels incomplete without her." Jinyoung said.

"Look...she's been spending time with that boy from soccer club." Giselle pointed at Lisa who was indeed walking together with Chani and smiling.

"Oh.. Chani.. damn, he is cool." Minnie said as she cling unto Jimin.

Jimin furrowed his eyebrows as he watched Lisa laughing with Chani.

Eventually Lisa pulled Chani with her towards their direction.

"Hey Lisa..." Minnie greeted.

"So you're Chani right?" Jinyoung shook hands with him.

"Yes. Nice to meet you guys."

"Woah.. Lalisa, didn't know you were close with this cute guy." Giselle said dreamily

Chani could only smile cutely.

"Anyways, we just stopped here for awhile. We were going to play call of duty afterwards." Lisa said.

"Woah. count me in." Bambam said, then Giselle held his arm as if stopping him.

"Come on Bambam, give them time to be alone." Minnie winked teasingly.

Jimin looked at Lisa in his poker face and Lisa looked back at him.

Chani saw this, this time he held out his hand to him.

"Nice to meet you... Jimin." Chani said.

"Hey Chani..."Jimin shook his hand but only a slight.

He had this emotionless face on him.

This time, Chani and Lisa bid their farewells and Jimin could only look at them with his incrompehensible face.

FASTFORWARD~~~

"Wah Jinja...that was fun." Lisa grinned widely as she and Chani exited the internet cafe.

"Let's spend time again...just like this."Chani said.

Now they were both standing and facing each other.

"Sure Chani...anytime."Lisa smiled sweetly.

"Then I must get going..I still have to fetch my mom from the airport."Chani said.

"Okay goodbye...be careful."Lisa waved her hand goodbye and Chani did the same then turned around to the other direction.

When she turned back she was surprised to see Jimin right in front of her.

Waiting and his hair was just wet from the rain.

He fixed it out with his hand.

"Park Jimin? What are you doing here?"

"Nothing...well,I was just passing by..."Jimin made out an excuse.

"I gotta go home now."Lisa turned and was about to walk away when Jimin held out her hand.

"Wait.. don't go yet."

"Why?"

"Well...I just missed the days when we're not too caught up with other affairs...When we had fun together. Shall we go play at an arcade?"

"Like now?"

"Yeah."

"Arrasseo." Lisa replied and Jimin eyesmiled.

He then pulled her by her arm.

Lisa's POV

Who am I kidding...I shouldn't raise my hopes up in these kinds of situation.

At the end of the day, we're doing this for our friendship.

Right now..I think it's better to be this way.

We're not meant to be after all.

We're better off as friends.

We arrived at the arcade just around the corner.

We went to the game machine where there is Tekken.

We pushed a lot of buttons with certain combos as we tried to defeat each other.

"Darn!"Jimin cursed after I have beat him..

"Ha!"I chuckled at him.

"Basketball.. let's try it." He frustratingly said and I chuckled silently.

This dude is seriously competitive.

Author's POV

Jimin and Lisa were shooting basketballs.

At this poin,their scores were a tie.

When Jimin had shot it, it didn't go well.

And when it was Lisa's turn, she shot it well.

Lisa jumped happily like a kid who just got a brand new toy.

"Heol, this is unfair!"Jimin whined.

"Yah! The score tells everything."Lisa laughed.

After they were done there....

Jimin and Lisa reached a vending machine with dolls.

Jimin inserted a token then he used the claws to get a doll with a blonde hair and bangs.

This represents Lisa.

He was able to claw it out from the machine then gave it to her.

"That doll looks like you.. That's my gift."Jimin said.

Lisa took it and looked at the doll with touched expression.

"Wah thanks."Lisa said.

Then she looked at Jimin who smiled at her but then he averted his gaze to another direction.

"Anyways, let's go home now..shall we?" He asked.

"Of course..."Lisa replied.

As they exited the arcade,they stopped by the bus waiting area.

"Thanks for today Jimin."Lisa told him.

"Don't mention that."He smiled.

The moment the bus arrived, Lisa climbed up and that's when Jimin left the area..

He was now walking all alone on the streets.

Jimin's POV

I miss times like these...Me and Lisa used to do these kinds of stuffs.

But overtime, I notice our friendship fading.

I really don't understand her...

She's the only person I could run to and I could trust, I'm afraid that'll be gone.

I wanted to just pull her away from Chani...

I don't know why...but I don't like seeing her with other guys except for me.
