Lila snapped out from her thoughts. "Sure."

"Oh, please. You didn't hear a damn word from me." The Handler started wrapping bandages on her wound. "I was saying that mothers know best for their children. You've done a couple of missions, now you know everything? Huh? Big Lila, all in charge, not trusting her mother, her mother who yanked her out of that horrid little slum, her mother who rescued her from gin-addled, neglectful parents, her mother who taught her how to live, how to love, how to survive?"

Lila shook her head. "You just said you lied."

"You lied to them and they lied to me and everybody lies to everyone else. Grow up, buttercup." The Handler slapped the bandage on Lila's arm causing the woman to wince. The Handler sighed. "If I thought you needed to know the truth, I would've told you the truth, but you didn't, and so I didn't, and everything worked out just fine."

"No, it hasn't. I lost Five."

The Handler's eyes widened. "Is he dead?"

"No. But he kicked me out of his merry little band." Lila noticed the wound on the Handler's forehead. "Ugh. Your wound is weeping."

"Oh, thanks for telling me, darling." The Handler replied as Lila gave her a tissue. "Oh, my dear, that... that's not a problem at all."

"Why not?"

The Handler went to the other table to fix her wound. "Well, because... I have a very busy day scheduled for us. Now, what were you thinking about?"

"Huh?"

"You were spacing out minutes ago, dear. I know you. What was bothering you?"

As the Handler sat back down to her chair, Lila stared at her before sighing. "Have you ever thought about chasing Red for ourselves? Maybe if we catch her, you can have your job back."

The Handler froze before eyeing Lila suspiciously. "Did you saw her?"

Lila stared at her mother. She was debating whether to tell her that she saw you or not. She softly gulped and shook your head. "I didn't. I just thought that it might help."

"Well, you know how close Carmichael and Red are. He'll probably help her even if we caught her unless she's dead."

As the Handler went back to her work, Lila stared down as her adoptive mother's words sink into her brain. She glanced at her mother after deciding that if she ever finds you again, she'll have to kill you.

Your eyes opened and found yourself laying down on the couch with a blanket covering your body. A distinct talk from men and a smell of scrambled eggs were just a few feet away from you. You slowly got up and rubbed your eyes tiredly as you looked at everyone just by the kitchen.

Diego was pacing around the room, Luther was the one cooking, and Five was leaning against the wall.

'Wait. Five.' Your eyes widened when you realized what happened last night. Your eyes clenched close and ran your fingers through your hair. '(Y/n), you sensitive bastard. Why did you have a breakdown right after falling?'

Five turned around and found you awaken. He walked towards you and just stood a foot away from you. You saw his shoes causing you to mutter something inaudible before looking up at him. "Hi." Five greeted with a small smile. "Are you feeling better?"

You bit your lower lip down and slowly nodded. "Um, yeah. Sorry about, uh, last night. Sometimes I have mental breakdowns. They come out of nowhere and my breakdown decided to happen just right after a slipped."

"It's alright." Five shrugged. "I'm glad you're feeling better. You fell asleep so I put you on the couch. I couldn't bring you to bed since Diego was there."

"What about you? Where did you sleep?"

"I didn't sleep."

"No, no, no, I don't understand." You and Five heard Diego in the kitchen. "They keep following me."

You and Five approached the two as you sat down on a chair while Five leaned back to the wall, his one hand placed down on his pocket, and took a yellow mug containing coffee.

"Wait, who?" Luther asked.

"Those Dutch sociopaths."

"They're Swedish, idiot." You corrected with a smile causing Diego and Luther to turn to you. "Hola." You greeted as you waved.

"They are hired and paid to eradicate us before we do any more damage to this timeline." Five added as he took a sip on his coffee.

"Yeah, but why now?" Diego asked. "I mean, I'm... I'm fine for three months until you showed up."

Luther nodded. "Yeah, I was here for a year and no one messed with me."

Diego and Luther turned to you who was just watching the three Hargreeves talking. You blinked in surprise. "Oh, don't look at me, boys. I don't want to be involved with your family issues."

"Even if it was my fault, which it isn't, we only have six days before the end of the world, and the closest anyone's gotten to Dad was that driveway at the consulate." Five stated.

Luther paused when the realization hit him. "Well... that's not exactly true."

Five raised an eyebrow and looked at Luther. "What do you mean?"

"I saw him."

Chapters will be released every Monday and Friday at 6 PM (Philippine Time).

Just a reminder that Red (yes, I am calling (Y/n) as Red) came to the 1960s on September 18, 1962, while Diego came on September 1, 1963, that's why Red is arrival number four instead of Diego. Just saying for those who might get confused and this note might not be important anyway haha

And finally, I get to celebrate my Wattpad anniversary on the exact day. I really thought I started Wattpad on August 28, 2015, but it's really August 27, 2015. So anyway, happy six years to me!
