Emi "Why do I still need to wear this?" I asked irritatedly as I adjust the blindfold over my eyes.
We were back in the car heading back to Lorenzo's house, he finished with the man, and apparently, he got some information out of him but not much, that's what Lucia told me.
"I mean I'm sure we are far enough from the warehouse, so I can take it off" I continue when he doesn't respond. An annoyed sigh escapes his lips
"If I let you take it off will you stop talking?" He asked
"Yes" I answer
"Go ahead then," he said.
I didn't waste any time removing the piece of cloth from around my eyes, I rub my eyes and glance at him. He sat on his phone with a bored expression on his face, does he not have any other facial expressions besides boredom, emotionless, and pissed? He could at least crack a smile, show a little happiness ya know.
"How long will it be before you trust me?" I asked after a couple of minutes of silence. I couldn't help it, it was too quiet
"Our deal was you keep quiet and I let you take the blindfold off, you're not holding up to your end of the deal," he said not taking his eyes off his phone.
"Does my voice annoy you that much?" I asked
"Yes, very much" he mumbled. I roll my eyes
"Ok, if you answer my question, I promise I'll stop talking this time," I said. He glances at me then back at his phone.
"I don't know, you haven't done anything trustworthy enough" he responded
"Are you serious? I got that guy to talk, something you couldn't do, may I remind you" I said. The corner of his mouth twitched and he makes eye contact with me
"You think getting someone to talk for me is enough to earn my trust? Sorry to disappoint you tesoro, but it's not" he said irritatedly
I grin, so what he's saying is that I can gain his trust but it's gonna take a little more, well that's good to know, maybe this assignment won't take that long.
"Why are you grinning?" He asked suspiciously. I shift my body so I'm facing forward
"No reason, just thought of something funny," I said looking out the window. Today was cloudy, was it going to rain? I hope not
Lorenzo hummed in response and brings his attention back to his phone, honestly I wanted to break his phone, you have a whole human being, a sexy human being if I might add, sitting right next to you and you choose not to ignore her. Rude.
