Tommy and Tubbo ran until they were out of breath easily over at least 2 hills sitting at the bottom of the second one. The two sat in silence until Tommy spoke.

'That was a good play'

Tubbo turned to look at Tommy 'what do you mean?'

'The thing you did back there, it was good'

'Oh thanks, you know I would do anything for you I'm not just going to let you die'

Tommy sighed laying his back against the hill 'well thank you Tubbo'

Tubbo smiled 'your welcome big man'

'Do you know what's in your bag that you stole?' Tommy asked changing the subject to a little less harsher one.

'Um no' Tubbo took the satchel off his back putting it in his lap 'and it's not stealing it's borrowing'

Tommy chuckled 'Sure Tubbo your just lying to yourself to make you feel better'

Tubbo thought about that for a second yea sure maybe that was a bit true but it wasn't a big deal this wasn't the biggest secret he ever kept but yet again it was the biggest of his secrets the other secrets were Tommy's. I wonder if I'll ever get to keep big secrets one day too?

And Tubbo was right he would get to keep bigger secrets someday some he would die protecting to make sure they were never let out and some he would keep to his grave.

Tubbo just laughed 'Whatever'

'It's not a big deal Tubbo just say that your lying'

Tubbo huffed pulling out the first item in the bag 'I'm not lying'

Tommy rolled his eyes 'ok sure, what's that?'

'Um I don't know' Tubbo shrugged a glass looking circle laying in his hand 'I think it's a compass'

'Yea maybe but a compass would be pointing to wherever we're pointing it this is just pointing on its own'

Tubbo looked down at the compass 'it's pointing towards the bag'

'Alright' Tommy leaned over and picking up the bag dumping it on the ground.

'HEY!'

'I'm not going to break anything' tommy laughed rummaging through the pile until he found a almost identical compass 'look at this' tommy brought it closer to the other compass the arrows lining up right next to each other.

'That's strange'

'Yea there lining up next to each other'

'Maybe if we go farther away from each other they'll reset'

Tommy shrugged his shoulders 'it's worth a try'

So the two both stood up looking around to make sure no one was in sight before continuing to get farther away from each other.

About 30 feet away tommy yelled 'IS IT WORKING'

Tubbo sighed compass still heading straight towards Tommy 'NO'

With confirmation that it wasn't working tommy moved to the side compass now turning to still face Tubbo. Sighing tommy ran back over to Tubbo.

'I think I know why these aren't working'

Tubbo nodded 'alright...'

'There mended together'

'Wait what mending can only be done by ghosts'

'Or selling your soul to a god'

Tubbos breath got caught in his throat 'S- so your telling me there is either a ghost roaming these lands or there is a soulless person walking around theses lands'

'Yea basically'

'How are you SO calm about this'

Tommy chuckled 'it's not that big of a deal and if it's makes you feel better it's not their whole soul it's only a piece of it'

Tubbo huffed 'doesn't make it better big man, it's still their soul'

'let's continue seeing what's in this bag then'

Tubbo just hummed in response sitting next to Tommy again.

Ranboo sighed looking at his table it was the next day and he hadn't slept.

Doing what? Staring at the table trying to remember that Tubbo dude Anything would do for him now a memory the day he some how appeared here, a memory of what he looked liked, a memory of the day he met him.
And almost as if it was timed ranboo got a paining spark in his head falling face flat on his table.

Ranboo was working at the nation's library that had just been renovated because of the new owners of the nation. Which he had yet to meet but by reactions of fellow towns people he wasn't so sure he wanted to meet them but he still wanted to try.

Unfortunately his job was to work at the library tending to the front desk so he would try to meet them later. That's when he heard a ding coming from the door which meant some one came in. Ranboo looked over at the person who he swore he saw before but he just didn't know where. The boy looked to be about 17 wearing a pitch black suit which had a small but readable embroidery saying L'manburg.

What was L'manburg? Ranboo had heard about manburg but never L'manburg well something new to find out. And just as his thoughts ended the boy came to the front desk.

'Hi there' the boy said just above a whisper if ranboo hadn't been looking he probably wouldn't have heard him.

'Hi' ranboo smiled 'what can I do for you today?'

'Um' the boy looked around 'do you know if Karl is here?'

Ranboo had to think before answering the question as Karl had told him earlier today to tell no one he was gone 'He had to run out to get something'

'Oh.... Well I'll come back later have a nice day'
The boy turned around about to go back out the door.

'Wait, I can help you with something if you need it'

He turned around meeting the guys eyes for about 2 seconds before putting his head down 'N- no I'm good' and before ranboo could say anything else the boy rushed out of the library back onto the prime path.

Strange ranboo thought to himself I wonder why he only wanted Karl? I could follow him to see... no that's past any boundaries a person would have.

But Ranboos body went against his thoughts as he stood up walking out onto the prime path as well looking up at the setting sun.

'Well I guess I'm doing this' ranboo sighed starting to follow the boy silently.

Ranboo looked up from the table brain still dazed from what happened eyes wandering to the back of his head resetting after a moment.

'L'manburg' ranboo whispered into his arm 'I- I need to search up L'manburg' and so carfully Ranboo stood up using the table to steady himself.

'I really need to get this shit figured out... but that's for another day' Ranboo sighed grabbing his coat heading out to the local library to find out what L'manburg is.
