Pumpkin

I sat comfortably in my chair, drinking my coffie and playing chess. Then I heard the door open and close, which ment Y/n was home. Thank god, I was starving! When I woke up this morning the fridge was empty.

"Did you buy milk? I've had to drink my coffie bla- What the hell is that?" I asked.

"A pumpkin" She held it up.

"You never cook pumpkin darling"

"That's because I'm not cooking it I'm carving it" She moved my board to the side and plonked it on the table.

"Carving? Darling no you'll make a mess"

"Oh come on Benny, it's Halloween"

"I couldn't give a single shit, that holiday is for kids" I sighed going over to the sofa to read a chess book.

Y/n cut the pumpkin open and removed all the seeds and flesh into a bowl, making quite a mess in the process. Then she started carving probably a face into it.

"Please don't make to much of a mess honey"

"I won't- finished"

"Thank go-ARGHHH!"

She pulled out another one and started messing with it. About fifteen minutes later, she sat down next to me.

"Benny, come and see what I did"

"Do I have to?"

"Yes now come on" She grabbed my hand and dragged me over to the table.

"Ok this one first"

She spun one around to show a carving of a king piece.

"Oh, wow, that's actually quite impressive, how did you do that?"

"Ok now this one" She pointed to the other one.

I sighed and turned it around.

Carved into it was Take the lid off.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"Do as it says Benny"

So I took the lid of and inside was a box.

"What is this?"

"Open it"

"I'm getting serial killer vibes"

"Just open it!"

I opened the box, to reveal a pregnancy test with two lines?

"Wait- you're pregnant?"

"Yes genius" She giggled.

I took her into a big hug and kissed her.

"You could have just told me" I chuckled.

"But this was more fun"
