Chapter 20

When I got out of our house, the healthy morning sun embraces my skin.

I'll meet Javis again to make my wish come true. 

I closed my eyes. Just the thought of it, my lips form a warm smile. 

"Hey, you're already here." I cocked my head on my side when I heard a familiar voice. It's him. 

Just seeing him, euphoria blossomed within me.

"Let's go to my car."

I waited for days to meet him again, like what we planned when we had our road trip. 

I wore my most comfortable clothes from my closet early this morning. I even brought spare clothes with me that I put on my backpack since our plan for today is to hike. I don't know where the place he will bring me, he won't tell when I keep on asking him. He really loves to tease me and seeing my annoyed face.

While on our way to the place. I searched and grope on the necklace I am wearing, I must keep this to myself or else everything will be ruin. 

We are both hungry so we took brunch first. Then Javis told me that we have two hours to get to the place. It's okay for me because I'm with him.

"This is your first time to hike, right?" he asked, maybe he remembered what I wrote on the piece of paper. 

"Yep. Hindi naman 'yon masakit sa paa?" I heard him chuckled. Palagi na lang siyang ngumingiti-ngiti o tumatawa sa tuwing kasama ako.

"Para sa akin, hindi naman."

I pouted my lips when I remembered that he's an athlete. 

Muli kong narinig ang mahinang mga tawa niya nang manahimik ako kaya sinamaan ko lang siya ng tingin habang nag d-drive, and that made him laugh again even if he's not directly looking at me. 

Habang nakatingin sa labas ng bintana ng kanyang sasakyan ay napapansin kong mas nagiging mapuno ang paligid. 

There is no pollution so I pulled down the window of his car on my side. The fresh and natural wind welcome my whole face. 

"This is nice," I commented. 

Nilingon ko si Javis sa tabi ko na nilingon din ako saglit at binalik muli ang tingin sa daan. That small gesture melted me inside again.

"Careful," he muttered. 

Sometimes I talk to him, sometimes I just look and appreciate the place on our ride. Until we finally came to the place. 

May parking sa travel agency, pero nang makalabas kami sa sasakyan niya ay sumakay pa kami ng isang bus at pagkarating ay kailangan pa naming sumakay sa may balsa o yung maliit na bangka para makatawid kami at maka pag register.

May mga pagpipilian na places sa kung ano yung gusto naming akyatin.

After we registered at the destination we decided to go, one of the staff that we will guide us to hike gave us some information about the place, instructions, and guidelines.

We're a total of eight people together with the staff that we will be with us to guide.

May magkaibigan na kasabay namin.

We made our way into a forest with our wooden hiking sticks in hand that they gave to us. We started to hike, at first, it was just easy but when we are in station 2, it's getting hard to walk properly. 

The staff told us that the other station will be more difficult to hike. 

I felt Javis' grip tighten when we came to station 3. Sometimes we stop to take a rest for a moment or drink water.
