"You eat dog crap for breakfast geek!"

"You make your weave with your momma's toe jam!" Ham yelled making us all cheer.

"You bob for apples in the toilet-" Phillips said stopping looking at his friends and back at Ham. "and you like it."

I could feel the anger rising in Ham, what was he going to say next? Suddenly Ham bursted out, "You play ball like a girl!"

All the boys went silent. He didn't just say that, and with me here? Is he stupid?! Squints nudged Ham.

"I know, I know it was a good one. Just look at him!" Ham laughed. Tommy turned Ham's body to meet me and his face turned pale.

"What the fuck did you say?!" I yelled stepping up towards Ham. Ham backed up with regret painted on his face. "I'm sorry y/n. I didn't mean it like that."

"Oh yeah? It sure seemed like it!" I yelled in anger. Suddenly I heard Phillips say, "Aww, you guys have a cheerleader?"

I quickly turned my attention from Ham to Phillips. "What cheerleader? I hope your not talking about me." I said glaring at Phillips.

"Oh baby, Of course I'm talking about you. What are you going to do about it?" He said in a puppy talking tone.

On my way over to Phillips I heard Yeah-yeah yell, "Don't call her that!" Now I was standing right by his bike.

"Oh Phillips, let me be your cheerleader!" I whined like a baby. "Y/n?" I heard benny say confused.

Phillips leaned his face closer, "Oh, the little girl wants to be my cheerleader?" He whispered. I gave a smirk as all the sandlot boy's made confused noises.

I puckered my lips leaning closer to his cheek. Phillips smiled and aloud me to get closer. "Y/n! Why are you doing this?!" I heard Ham say from the crowd.

As soon as my lips got close, I instead slapped him with all my might. "I'm not a cheerleader." I said flipping him off, I turned back around walking back over to the sandlot boys.

Phillips started scoffing in pain as all the sandlot boys came over and gave me high fives. "You guys are really something else." Phillips whined in pain.

"Tomorrow, noon. At our field. And bring your cheerleader." Phillips said glaring at me and Ham.

"Oh I'll be there." I said crossing my arms. Phillips scoffed and yelled, "Let's go!" With that his team followed him out the Sandlot.

Ham and I turned around and started walking back to our gloves. "Jerks." Ham said in a low angry tone.

I nodded at his comment and picked up my glove.

                                         ...

After all the boys went their ways it was just me and Benny. We were now three houses down from our destination.

We were walking in silence, which wasn't to bad since I was already in a bad mood. I couldn't stop thinking about what Phillips said. Man, I hated that kid.

Benny swung the bat in his right hand over his shoulder and used his free arm to hang over my shoulders. He pulled me close and said, "Don't stress about what he said. He's just a jerk."

I looked down at my shoes, I guess it was pretty obvious I was upset. "Anyways what are you doing tonight?" Benny asked switching the topic.

"I-" I paused. To be honest I didn't know. My mom wasn't going to be home since she has to work late tonight.
