Later that day after we all went home I took a shower getting ready for the campout. After the shower I dried my hair and just left it down, I was going to be sleeping in another couple of hours anyways. I went to my drawer and took out black pro Nike shorts.

Closing the drawer I whirled around and threw the shorts on my bed and ran to my closet. I took out a pastel pink cropped tank. I quickly changed looking at the clock. Benny would stop by to pick me up since I had no clue where Timmy and Tommy's house had been.

After changing I ran to the bathroom and brushed my hair and teeth one last time. I quickly applied lotion and perfume along with deodorant. I slipped on my white air forces and took a hair tie just in case.

I picked up my black mini bag from the side of my bed that I had packed previously and threw it over my shoulders. I ran out of my bedroom shutting the door behind me. "Where you going?" I heard a voice question from behind me.

I turned around to see Matt standing in front of his bedroom door. "Oh, Well the boys are having a campout tonight and invited me." I said looking down at my shoes.

"Oh alright." With that he turned around and started heading back to his room when I put a hand on his shoulder.

"Wait." I whispered quietly not to wake anyone. "What?" He asked. "Shh!" I whispered yelled looking at my mom's door.

His eyes widened, "You didn't ask did you."

I sighed, "No, I didn't have a chance. When I got home she seemed really stressed." I looked down at my feet.

"But I'm sure if I asked she'd agree." I said looking back up with a faint smile.

Matt sighed and shook his head, "I'll cover for you."

My eyes widened. "Thanks!-" He quickly leaned closer covering my mouth with his palm. I had totally forgotten about being quiet.

He released his hand from my mouth with a sigh, "Just get outta here."

I turned around starting at the stairs, I stopped mid stair and turned around. I smiled at Matt and mouthed 'Thanks'. He nodded his head and smiled back.

I could tell he was very tired, yet he still decided to cover for me. I was so lucky to have him as a friend. How'd I even manage to find a friend like this? I quickly gave him a last huge smile and darted down the staircase quietly.

I was surprised my mom hadn't bursted out of her room because every step I took was followed by a large creek.

By the time I reached the bottom of the stairs I saw Benny walking across the street to my house through the big window. I ran to the door and slowly opened it trying my best to not make a sound.

I shut it slowly making a small clicking noise. I turned around, "Hey!" yelled Benny. He was carrying a flashlight and his leathered backpack was over his shoulders.

I shrieked at the sudden noise. "Oh my god, Benny." I whispered quietly. Benny started laughing, I quickly covered his mouth staring at my house window trying to make sure no lights turned on.

He pushed my hand off his mouth and whispered, "You didn't ask?" I shook my head grabbing his hand. "Let's just get out of here."

With that we took off running down the street. Within 8 minutes we reached a large house with lots of plants in front. Me and Benny stopped running and quickly tried catching our breath's again.

I put my hands on my knee's breathing heavily, I looked up over at Benny who had his hands behind his head trying to catch his breath. "Tired?" I smirked.
