A Different Beginning ~ Part 9 ~ Updated: 12/27/14 Late Evening
** POV: Dr. Sean Green **
“Hell-“ I answered my phone sitting in my office at the hospital my feet up on the desk as I lounged, little did I know my break was over.
“Hold on..” Nathan’s voice whispered through the phone. I heard a click and confused I dropped my legs down to the ground.
Kota’s voice sounded through the phone. “Dr. Green I am almost outside of the hospital.” His voice was shaky.
“Woah!” I hopped out of my chair surprised and threw on my coat. “I though you guys had these couple of days off? Why are you headed here?”
There was a sound and my eyes widened as I stopped halfway out of the door of my office. “Wheezing?!” I nearly yelled into the phone as I ran down the hall toward the front of the hospital grabbing two nurses as I ran down the hall. “Who is wheezing?! God Damn Kota who is it?!”
“Sang. Her name is Sang. She lives across the street from Nate and I. Dr. Green she has a fever as well as bruises covering her chest and her back.” Kota’s voice was wavering as he described.
“Doc… she is fucking weak…” North bellowed.
“She was in a tree. I barely got her down.” Luke slipped in.
I ran through the sliding doors standing outside of the hospital my head buzzing.
“North shhh.” Nathan whispered and North growled a little.
“How old is she?” I asked.
“She is our age. I think I heard her parents say they were sending her to Ashley Waters.” Nathan responded.
“How big is she?” I whispered trying to gather information.
“Small… really small… “ Nathan answered. I put the phone to my chest taking a breath and bring it up to my ear.
“Doc she can’t be touched.” Kota spoke into the phone.
“Wha-“
“Doc she flinches at every touch. She hyperventilated yesterday when there were five people in the room. We need to be careful. She has very little trust for us just yet.” Kota spoke over me commanding.
My eyes widened. Wouldn’t let them touch her? Abuse? I bit my lip hard. “Does Mr. B know?”
“No. I will call when we get there. Here we come. “ The phone clicked off and I slipped it into my pocket. Turning to the nurses.
“I need a room and bandages, gauze and cream. Clear everyone out of the room.” I commanded and the two rushed away. I watched as the grey BMW pulled into the parking lot and right in front of me. I threw open the back door and my eyes widened quickly.
