38: Open My Zippers

Shanel's POV

"Ms. Pascual?"

"Yes sir?" kabado kong saad kasabay ng pag-tayo ko nung tinawag ni sir ang pangalan ko.

Biglang lumamig ang katawan ko. My hands are shaking, and I don't know what to do.

"Please sit next to Gio."

I stopped. And suddenly, all the nervousness I felt earlier has gone. Now I can breath easily without doubt.

Nakakahinga na'ko ng maayos.

"Um, Shanel? Are you alright?" sir Min calls my attention.

"Nag e-emote pa yata yan." Then Tenonto's voice suddenly appear on my ears.

Tsk! Pa-epal.

"Hayaan niyo na muna yan ser. Kinakabahan siguro yan baka walang masagot mamaya sa oral recitation lalo na't may mag o-observe." Tenonto provokingly said.

"Hahahaha!!" nagtawanan naman yung mga boys na dugyot. Psh! What a pathetic group of monkeys.

"Miss Pascual, can you please proceed?" sir asked.

Ako naman, pasimpleng kinuha yung bag ko at sinuot ito, tapos lumakad na papunta sa tabi ni Gio.

While I'm walking to the destined chair, my world is slowing down. The scene is slow-mde, nakikita ko sina Tenonto sa area nila kasama yung mga dugyot niyang friends na nagkakangitian.

Then Tenonto is slowly turning his head towards me, and then inirapan ko siya nang nasa'kin na ang sight niya.

Then the world goes back to normal as I continued to walk to the destined chair.

Ahh~ I feel relieved. Nung katabi ko na si Gio sa pag-upo.

We act like a couple, so sweet and so kind in the eyes of the people.

"So nice." Sir gently said while he's looking at us Gio. "I'm so glad to see both of you campus crushes are so sweet together." Sir Min smiled.

Then the whole class is staring at us.

Napatingin naman ako kay Gio after sir Min said that to us, and Gio is doing the same too. We smiled at each other, then inangat ni Gio ang braso niya para akbayan ako.

"Ayiiieeee!!!" hiyawan ng buong klase sa'min.

And I can't resist what I feel. Napangiti nalang din ako ng malaki dahil sa kilig. And Gio is doing the same, too.

"Napaka-sweet niyo talaga! Sana ganon ka rin sa'kin Gio! Huhu!" sigaw ng ibang girls, specially si Dinah. But I don't mind her.

"Sweet talaga yan. Kulang namang langgamin sila dyan eh." Pa-epal na naman si Tenon. But I don't mind him too.

Nakarinig ako ng footsteps na galing sa labas. Papunta dito yung tunog.

"Oh, hi Mr. Cha." Saad ni sir Ronaldo na nasa table niya sa likod nung pumasok yung tao.

Napalingon kaming lahat sa guest.

"Oh, anong sasabihin pag may bisita?" saad ni sir na nasa likod.

Kaya sabay-sabay kaming nagsingtayuan at binati ang bisita. "Good afternoon, visitor!"

"Magandang hapon din. Maupo kayo." Saad nung guest.

The guests voice is so creepy, bringing me in fear. Aura palang niya habang nakatayo siya sa harap ng pinto, mapapatili na'ko sa takot.

"Ah, sya nga pala, class. Siya si Mr. Byungjon Cha. Ang founder ng J.O. Veterans Integrated School." Sir Ronaldo introduces the guest while he's about to stand in his table.
