Chapter 14.

My eyes widened in slight shock before softening, not knowing what to do in this situation, my rational - lazy - side would say no yet the other side, that wants to relax and live a happy life wanted to say yes.

"You're so-" I cut myself off, stopping myself from saying troublesome again and choosing the side I never choose. ".. I guess it wouldn't hurt."

I heard him chuckle making the second hand embarrassment way worse than it already was, silently cursing under my breath.

"Tomorrow night?" He asked and I agreed and soon the call ended after making plans.

I was desperate.

Desperate for advice that relate to men, that was the first time that I felt like this and the only one that has a lot of experience with men is my best friend, so obviously I went to her for this.

"So he finally asked you out." Stella grinned with a knowing look. "I want details."

How troublesome.

And soon it was the next day, the day that I was feeling nervous and yet giddy about, those feeling were so foreign but it made me feel normal.

Like a normal teenager.

The plan was to go to the the park in Magix and so I met up with Adan at the park, we sat on a bench while eating our ice cream,

"So I heard that you had exams today." Adan mused but his voice came out awkwardly, trying to make a small talk. "How did that go?" 

I felt a grin rise up on my face, showing my teeth as I thought back on how I passed it. "Aced it!"

"Oh? I'm surprised." He drawled and I looked up at him, annoyance twinkling in my eyes, he chuckled at that and ruffled my hair making me pout slightly, ignoring the warmth that crept up.

"Can you cut it out for once." I clicked my tongue and slapped his hand away but that made his smile widen. "How troublesome."

Adan flashed me a cheeky smile. "That's what you like about me."

"So what about your exams?" I asked, tilting my head so I could meet eyes with him, completely ignoring his comment, not agreeing nor disagreeing. "It's tomorrow right?"

"Yeah." Adan nodded, giving me an answer. "I heard that it was easy so I don't have to worry." 

This man. I don't know what it is with this man but he made a crack in the wall that I created, that I put up. A wall that would protect me from other people hurting me yet he cracked it in a good way.

I admit it, hiding behind a wall is rather troublesome so in a way I was grateful and damn..I squinted my eyes at him..

Was he always so damn attractive?

"[Name].." A smirk creeped up on his face as he started down at me and then I noticed how close our faces were. "Searching for something?"

"You're hot." I defended making his smirk widen but not wanting to boost his ego, I continued. "Your personality however.."

 "I only accept compliments." Adan scoffed making me let out a laugh, not noticing how his eyes widened in slight shock and admiration but just when I stopped laughing, I manage to notice.

"Searching for something?" I rose an eyebrow, shooting back the words he said to me, snapping him out of whatever daze he was.

"Perhaps." Adan shrugged as his golden eyes met mine. 

I admit, I was mesmerized by the color of his eyes. Two emotions danced around each other but I couldn't quite descipher what but it made me pleased for some reasons.
