"Shut up! I wasn't." Squints said walking to the dugout. Me and Ham had finally reached the left side of Benny. 

"Yeah, yeah you were! Your tongue was hangin out of your head and you were sweating! Oh~ Wendy Peffercorn my darling lover girl!" He teased holding his glove to his chest. 

                                                                                Benny's POV

"My darling lover girl!" Yeah-yeah teased. I bit my lip to the word lover girl, all I could think about was y/n and how I admitted to liking her. 

"I said shut up! I got a lot of things on my mind." With that Squints turned back around and took a seat on the benches. 

Same, same Squints. I thought before Ham yelled behind me, "This pop isn't working, Benny." I turned around to see Ham holding the soda I had handed him earlier. 

"I'm baking like a toasted cheeser! It's so hot here!" Ham threw the empty bottle on the floor and headed to the dugout.

"It's 150 degree's out there. You can't play baseball. You have to call it for the day." Squints informed me.

"You've gotta listen to him, Benny" I could see the sweat on Bertram's face. 

"Vote then." I said in annoyance.

                                                                         Back To Your POV

Why are they such babies?! Can't they just have fun and stop worrying about everything?! The heat isn't that bad!

"Vote then." Benny said.

I swear if they all raise their hands. "Anybody who wants to be.. a can't-hack-it, panty waist-" 

I could tell he was searching for horrible things the boys would not wanna be. "Who wears.." He looked to the floor and back up at them. "Their mama's bra. Raise your hand." 

My eyes widened to what he had just said. I forced a cough to grab his attention, he turned and looked at me questioningly. I crossed my arms and starred at him intently. His eyes suddenly grew wide when he realized what he said. 

He leaned towards his left and whispered in my ear, "sorry.. don't take that offensive." He said looking down at his shoes in guilt. I patted his shoulder and whispered back, "Thanks for the apology."

We both looked back at the boys who all had their hands up. "Yeah, I could live with that!" 

"Yeah!" "I'm fine with that!" They all commented back and forth. 

My mouth dropped, I can't believe them! It's not that hot! 

"Fine, fine, fine!" He yelled making all the boys go silent. "Be like that."

"What?! I came to play ball!" I yelled at Benny.

"I'm sorry y/n.. Look if I could choose I'd make em play." He said grabbing my shoulders bending down a bit to meet me eye to eye.

I tried shaking his hands off my shoulders yelling, "No, no, no! I wanna play ball! It's not that hot benny!" 

Benny shook me and said, "That's what they chose. It's fair." He said letting go of my arms. 

"Then what are we gonna do?" I asked still angry. Benny looked at me and back at the boys. Yeah-yeah started laughing looking back and fourth between all the boys. 

Suddenly all the boys nodded their heads and smiles grew on their faces, "Scam pool honeys!" They all yelled in sync.
