Chapter 40

Kentrell POV

I pulled up into Amelia driveway and parked my car. Amelia had ended up falling asleep on our way back home. I lightly tapped her and she woke up.

"Come on, grab your stuff so you can get some rest" I said
"Mmh" Amelia said

Amelia grabbed all her stuff and we walked towards the house. Everybody else were already waiting at the door. Amelia opened the door and took her food into the kitchen then went into her room to shut the door.

"My cousin okay?" Mya asked
"Yea she just said she wanted to lay down, I'm about to go check on her now" I said walking towards her door

I walked towards the door and opened it slowly to see Amelia laid across her bed. I went over there and sat down next to her.

"Can you lay back?" Amelia asked
"Lemme take my shoes off first" I said
"And your shirt" Amelia said
"Oh you tryna do some?" I asked
"No, I just like laying on your bare chest" Amelia said chuckling
"Of course that's what it is" I said being sarcastic
"Shut up and hurry up" Amelia said

"There" Amelia said
"You not in charge of this relationship, I hope you know that" the truth I said
"If that's what you want to say" Amelia
"You know who daddy is" I said
"And it's me" Amelia said
"Not what you said last night" I said
"Shh we not gone speak on that" Amelia said

I chuckled.

"Hey, I like you a lot. But I don't know if you feel the same way, and if you don't then just forget I said anything" Amelia said
"I wanna be with you, but I don't want to end up hurting you over how I'm feeling" I said being honest
"What you mean?" Amelia asked
"Like y'all females be bogus as hell" I said
"Kentrell, do I look like the person to even do some shit like that?" Amelia asked
"Nah you don't" I said honestly
"Then why you think Ima even do you like that ?" Amelia asked
"I don't think you will it's just since Jania did some weird as shit I just ain't been feeling relationships, but you different, and I know you wouldn't do no shit like that" I said
"I wouldn't" Amelia said
"So what are you saying?" Amelia asked
"I'm ready to commit again" I said.
"You lying" Amelia said
"I'm deadass" I said chuckling
"You gone end up being Mrs Gaulden soon" I said
"Can't wait" I said
"I love you" I said
"I love you too Kentrell" Amelia said as she kissed my lips
"I appreciate you though, this pas couple days/weeks  it's been a handful but you always been by my side" I said
"I'll always be here" Amelia said

For the rest of that evening me and Amelia ended up watching a movie, but we ended up falling in the middle of the movie. It was now going on 8:30 and I had just woke up.

"Babygirl?" I said tapping Amelia
"Mmhhm?" Amelia said
"We been sleep since the movie ended" I said cutting the light on
"And it's time to go back to bed" Amelia said
"Nope." I said
"Kentrelllll" Amelia said
"I'm gonna be that annoying ass boyfriend so get use to it" I said chuckling
"I see" Amelia said
"I'm hungry" Amelia said
"Let me cook something for you" I said
"You cook? Since when?" Amelia asked
"I been cooking, I don't eat out everyday" I said
"Who taught you how to cook?" Amelia asked
"My grandma. My grandma rasied me" I said
"Aww. Cook us some chicken wings" Amelia said
"I gotta see if everybody else up, if not it's all for us" Kentrell said
"I want to watch" Amelia said putting her robe on
"Come on" I said

I walked into the living room where it was pitch black. Everybody was either in they room watching tv or sleep. So I guess the chicken all for us.

"Take everything out for me while I wash my hands" I said
"We should go live" Amelia said looking in the cabinets
"Go live" I said
"I'm going live on your phone, what's your password " Amelia asked
"5921" I said
"A nigga actually giving me his password, that's actually new" I said
"What I got to hide? Go through it if you want. " Amelia said
"I trust you" Amelia said

Amelia went live on my phone and a bunch of people started joining.

"Yall so Kentrell about to cook, I'm about to see if he can cook chicken without my help" Amelia said
"Y'all know I can cook" I said chuckling
"Okay so what's the first thing you need to do?"
"Wash my hands. I already did that though" I said
"Wash em again so the people can see it" Amelia said
"Look my hands wet yall " I said putting my hands in the camera
"They said it's cool, look" I said
"Mhm okay, what's the next thing?" Amelia asked
"You gotta wash the chicken" I said
"Okay wash the chicken while I get a bowl and the seasonings" I said
"Bet" I said

"Y'all ask us some questions while we cooking bae put that question poll up there" I said
"Okay hold on" Amelia said
"Oh yea yall I forgot to tell y'all" I said
"Me and Amelia did make things official but we still taking it slow" I said
"Here" Amelia said

"Yall im dropping some clothes soon" Amelia said
"Ight now what I do" I asked
"I thought you knew" Amelia said chuckling
"Help me bae" I said
"Okay okay. Put the season on the chicken let it sit while the oil is warming up. So get a pop for the oil" Amelia said
"Okay" I said

"What do you like about Amelia?" Amelia read
"I like her personality, how she stay her self how she don't be worrying about what people say about her" I  said
"I love Kentrells smile and his personality, yall not really who y'all say he is, he's actually a sweet person" Amelia said
" appreciate that" I said

I'm not gone lie to y'all , I ain't never made chicken in my life.
