Chapter 29

Amelia POV

Everybody had just finished eating and I was washing the dishes. While washing the dishes I was thinking about if I should text Jania or not. My mind was telling me it was a set up, but my heart was telling me she genuinely wanted to apologize. I was deep in my thoughts when Kentrell walked into the kitchen.

"You need some help?" Kentrell asked
  "What do you know about washing dishes?" I asked
"I'm a man. I have to do that on my own" Kentrell said
"Really? I thought you had like a maid or something to do that for you" I said
"I do. I ain't never washed a dish in my life" Kentrell said chuckling
"I figured that" I said chuckling
"You can teach me though" Kentrell said
"There's really nothing to teach. Fill up the sink with clean warm water & soap and then just start washing them with a towel " I said
"It's that simple huh?" Kentrell asked
"Yep" I said
"My mama asked about you" Kentrell said changing the subject

I was shocked because how did Kentrell mama even know about me?

"How does she know me?" I asked
"I told her about you" Kentrell said
"Huh?" I asked confused
"After we had the lil fight earlier about Mya and Demario I went to my mama house asking her for advice about you and my brother and she told me to fix things with you first & she called you beautiful by the way" Kentrell said
"Oh wow. Well tell her thank you" I said
"You can tell her that yourself" Kentrell said
"How?" I asked
"This weekend my mama and family having this big old family reunion and I want you to be my guest" Kentrell said
"Kentrell.. I don't know.. it's too soon for that. I'm scared" I said wiping the counter down
"It's not to soon. Baby look you ain't got nothing to be scared of , my mama already love you and she ain't even met you" Kentrell said
"I know but what about your aunts, cousins, uncles.. I haven't met them.. what will they think of me?" I asked
"We won't know unless you go with me" Kentrell said
"Can I have the week to think about it?" I asked
"Take all the time you need" Kentrell said
"Okay thank you" I said
"You talked to my baby momma?" Kentrell asked
"No, I don't know what to say" I said
"Just see what she said in the dm " Kentrell said
"Okay, let's go to my room so I can change into my night clothes" I said

I walked into my room to see my puppy laying on my bed asleep. He must knew it was bed time because everytime he lays in my spot waiting for me.

"One night we staying at my place" Kentrell said
"I'm fine with that. What time do you have to be at the studio in the morning ?" I asked from the bathroom
"Tomorrow 7am sharp" Kentrell said
"You'll be up before me" I said slipping my pants on
"What time u work?" Kentrell asked
"9am sharp" I said
"Oh yeah I'll be gone. What time u get off?"Kentrell asked
"Suppose to be 2pm" I said rolling my eyes
"I'll come see you around lunch time" Kentrell said
"That's fine with me" I said walking back into the room
"This a night outfit?" Kentrell asked
"Yes" I said
"Mm ion like it" Kentrell said
"You don't like anything I wear" I said
"Showing to much. Jania said are you going to respond?" Kentrell asked
"Yeah I am. Give me a min" I said sitting beside Paisley
"Read it mama" Kentrell said taking his shirt off
"Okay okay.. " I said going to Instagram

I tapped my inbox. Since I wasn't friends with Jania I'm pretty sure she was in my message request. I tapped my message request and she was the first on the list. I took a deep breath before opening the message. It said :

TherealJania: Amelia I just wanted to apologize to you for what I said on Instagram. I really didn't know you and I shouldn't have spoke on you like that. I only did that because I was jealous. Seeing Kentrell being happy with another female didn't sit right with me. But now I see you're a really sweet and fun person to be with and we don't have to be friends or anything but can we least be cool since my son will be around you now? And p.s  your booty fat girll❤️😂!

I looked at the message for a min. I then smiled. It was nice of her to apologize and realizing that she made a mistake. I now see that she isn't as bad as I thought she was. And the last comment she said made me laugh. I decided to respond back.

TheRealAmelia7 : Hey Jania. I accept your apology, and I understand how you felt. But I wouldn't hurt Kentrell at all. I know he's a good person and I see that. You are an amazing beautiful woman and you and your son deserve the best. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to actually apologize to me, it meant a lot. & yes we can be cordial with each other since your son will be around. Again, thank you. P.s (yours fat to girll 😂❤️)

After laughing at the message I typed at the end I quickly sent the message and swiped off. Kentrell looked at me like I was crazy or something.

"What?" I asked
"What you laughing for?" Kentrell asked
"Me and Jania's message to each other" I said
"Yall friends now?" Kentrell asked laying on my leg
"I wouldn't say we friends, just Cordial because her son will be around me and it wouldn't be good for me to be arguing with her everytime she brought him around me" I said
"That's what I like about you" Kentrell said
"What you mean?" I asked
"You never in drama and you to your self. That's my type of female" Kentrell said
"And just to think, I wasn't your type" I said smiling
"You been my type since I met you" Kentrell said
"Thank you" I said
"For?" Kentrell asked
"For choosing me" I said kissing his lips

For the first time in forever I can say that I was actually starting to be happy, and I could see my self settling down with Kentrell.
