Chapter 36

Kentrell POV
Next Morning
8:15am

I woke up about an hour ago. I was up early as hell because of interview that I had with the radio station. I had Amelia coming with me, everybody else was still in bed sleep.

"Amelia, you almost ready?"
"Yes, I'm curling my hair" Amelia said
"Baby hurry up" I said

This was my first time calling her baby and it was unexpected. I smiled though.

"What did you call me?" Amelia said smiling
"Huh?" I said playing dumb
"Say what you said a while ago" Amelia said
"What I say?" I asked
"Never mind" Amelia said
"Bae I'm playing, I know what I said, I called you baby, what about it?" I asked
"Nothing I just ain't expect it" Amelia said
"I know, it surprised me when I said it" I said
"Do you mean it?" Amelia asked

I thought about what she said , did I really mean it? Or was I just caught up in the moment.

"To be real with you, I can't even answer that right now" I said
"Why?" Amelia said
"I just can't" I said
"Okay well I'm ready" Amelia said

It's not that I didn't mean what I said , it's just I was sure if I meant it at the moment. I like Amelia, it's just I'm not ready for all the soft shit yet.

I walked into the living room where Amelia was , I got my phone off the charger and headed towards the door. I waited for Amelia to lock her door and then headed to the car. I got in the car buckled my seat belt and seen Amelia looking out the window.

"You good?" I asked
"Yeah" Amelia said

Deep down, I knew she wasn't good, it just wasn't a good time to talk about it. I pulled out the drive way and made my way to the radio station. My manger was already there waiting on me, I didn't tell him I was bringing Amelia.

15mins later...

I pulled up into the park in lot and hopped out, I waited on Amelia to get out so she could follow me on where to go. I walked to the door and seen my manger there.

"You ready?" Alex asked
"Hell yeah" I said chuckling
"Who this beautiful young lady?" Alex asked
"This Amelia, Amelia this my manger Alex" I said
"Hi" Amelia said
"Nice to meet you" Alex said
"It's cool if she come in with me?" I asked
"I gotta tell them to get her a headset and mic ready" Alex said
"Ight" I said

"Um Kentrell? Amelia said
"Yeah wassup?" I asked
"You didn't say I would be speaking" Amelia said
"I know, but since you with me, I know they gone be wanting to ask you questions. I'm right beside you, if you ain't comfortable with answering anything then don't answer aight?" I said
"Okay" Amelia said
"Come here" I said pulling her in for a hug

"Alright they ready for yall" Alex said
"Ight" I said
"Come on" I said grabbing Amelia hand

I walked into the radio station and headed to the room the women led me to. I seen 2 men and a woman with headsets and mics .

"Kentrell Gaulden, just the man we were waiting on" One of the men said
"I'm Mike, this Cam and this Mariah " Mike said
"Nice to meet y'all " I said
"Alright yall sit down get some head sets on and make sure the mics are okay" Mariah said

I sat down and put the headset around my head and then made sure my mic was good. Amelia put hers on and made sure hers was good.

"Y'all ready?" Cam said
"Yea" I said
"We live in 3....2....1 ... Good afternoon everybody we live right now and we are sitting with Mr Kentrell Gaulden " Mike said
"Wassup" I said chuckling
"Now we also have a very unknown special guest that we weren't expecting, introduce yourself" Mariah said
"Hey, I'm Amelia"Amelia said
"Nice to meet you, you are so pretty by the way" Mariah said
"Thank you" Amelia said
"So Kentrell we got a few questions to ask you and a lot of people want to know the real Kentrell" Cam said
"Ight shoot em" I said
"What message would you give to your fans?" Mike asked
"Man keep grinding, whatever you want to do or trying to do, don't give up that shit will eventually come when it's ready." I said
"That's right you always gotta continue to grind " Mike said
"Correct " Mariah said
"Where did you grow up?" Cam asked
"I grew up in Baton Rouge, I was raised my grandmother" I said
"Are you and your grandmother close?
"My grandma passed away due to heart failure " I said
"Omg wow, I'm so sorry to hear that" Mariah said
"Prayers to you and your family Kentrell" Mike said
"Appreciate it" I said
"What got you into music? Like what motivated you? " Mariah asked
"I don't know, I just love talking about my past and what I'm going through and how I'm going through it" I said
"Wow" Cam said
"That's amazing" Mariah said
"So some fans got some question about your relationship with Amelia? Where did you guys meet " Mike said smiling

I chuckled.

"I knew y'all were gone ask about this" I said chuckling
"What's the tea? The fans want to know" Cam said
"Let's let Amelia get some shine" Melanie said
"Okay, ummm I met Kentrell at one of his concerts and I ended up having back stage passes and we exchanged numbers and ended up talking more." Amelia said
"Wow so this was a recent concert thing?" Cam asked
"Yeah" I said chuckling
"How do you feel about Amelia?" Melanie asked
"Yall deep " I said
"It's the fans " Melanie said
"Okay okay, I like Amelia a lot not gone lie. She motivate me to do a lot of shit I been wanting to give up on" I said
"Awww" Melanie said
"What made you fall for her this early?" Mike asked
"Personality . Her personality A1 she ain't like most girls I done dated or been with, she got her own money and own grind" I said
When you say she's different do you mean different like better than Jania?" Cam asked
"Nah nah nah, nobody can never take Jania place. She's the mother of my son, we might not have the best relationship but can't nobody take her place as a mother" I said
"I feel you" Mike said
"Alright guys were going to take a small break, we will be back in 10. Until then enjoy some Beyoncé" Mike said
"Yall take 10" Mike said

Me and Amelia removed our headset and walked back outside to where my manger was.

"Good job" Alex said
" They real personal " I said
"It's a radio station that's how they suppose to be" Alex said

I saw Amelia sitting the car strolling through her phone.

"You good?" I asked
"Yeah" Amelia said
"You lying?" I asked
"Kinda" Amelia said
"What's wrong talk to me?" I said
"When you said I couldn't take Jania's place, what did you mean by that?" Amelia asked
"Like as a mother you couldn't, as a girlfriend you probably can, I don't know that yet because we haven't got that far" I said
"Okay, now I understand you" Amelia said
"We gone talk when we get home ight" I said
"Okay"Amelia said

I do want to make things official, but I'm not gone lie I'm scared of commitment. I been hurt to many times for that bullshit.
