A Shooting Star

I suddenly noticed the room had gotten really quiet. I slowly turned my head to the left, Benny following my action. When I did all the boys were just starring at us, "Well are you going to kiss yet!" yelled squints pushing his glasses to his face.

"Yeah, yeah we all know you like each other!" Yeah-yeah yelled wiggling his eyebrows at me and Benny.

DeNunez sighed, "Guys come on let's give them privacy!" He yelled winking at me with a smile before turning back to his cards. All the boys sighed and turned back to whatever they were doing.

Me and Benny turned back to each other with embarrassed smiles. I removed my palm from his mouth as he removed his hand from my face. We both leaned back to our beginning positions against the wall.

Benny quickly realized his hand was still on my knee, he quickly moved his hand to his knee and sighed. I looked at him and admired his face from the side.

After a few seconds he turned his head at me with a smirk. "Like what your seeing?"

I was shocked, how'd he know I was starring at him! I quickly turned my head and looked at the two boys gamboling across the room. Benny started laughing, I turned my gaze at him with a half smile.

His laugh and smile was so contagious. So naturally I laughed along, I was so happy. I honestly thought when I first moved here, this summer would be so boring. I didn't expect to make friends with nine boys.

Hours passed by and everyone was asleep but me. I couldn't sleep, and I didn't know why. . I looked up at the clock, 1am. I thought.

I got on my knee's and looked out the little window near Benny's side and looked at the stars. Wow, the stars here really are better. I thought. 

I was starring out the window at the stars when a certain star caught my attention. It was souring threw the sky very fast. I automatically knew what it was, a shooting star. I quickly made a wish hoping not to miss my chance.

I shut my eyes and whispered to myself, "Please! please, I want someone to love me like the boys do with that one girl in the movies." With that I opened my eyes watching the star fly past the window.

I then layed back down and pulled the covers over me. I want to be in a relationship, but who? Who could love me? I'm just a girl who plays baseball and sweats 24/7. Most boys probably would go for the popular girls that always were heck loads of perfume and never breaks a sweat.

With that I fluttered my eyes shut. Sleep washed over me transferring me to a deep sleep.

                                                                           Benny's POV

I woke up to movement, I opened my eyes noticing y/n was sitting on her knees with her hands glued like she were praying.

What's she doing up so early? I looked at the clock across the room, it's literally 1am. 

"Please! please, I want someone to love me like the boys do to that one girl in the movies." She opened her eyes with a half smile and turned around. I quickly closed my eyes playing like I was asleep.

I felt her presents laying next to me. I could feel her leg touching mine, I slowly opened my eyes seeing she was fast asleep. I stared at her for a while thinking, I wish I could give her everything.

I probably layed their watching her sleep for ten minutes at the least. I couldn't rip my eyes away from her, she was so cute sleeping. I think I'm actually catching feelings for her. I mean, who wouldn't she's pretty, funny, sweet, and fun to hang around.

I couldn't imagine dating anyone else. I fell asleep with those thoughts leaving me to dream of her. (He didn't dream of anything bad, okay? Just know that, he basically just dreamed of her playing baseball.)

In the morning I woke up to y/n spooning me from behind. Her cheek was smashed on my back and her arms were hugging me. I wasn't gonna lie it was quiet comfortable, the only problem was the boys. I didn't want them waking up and assuming things.

I slowly moved her arm off my waist and I slowly turned around to face her. When I did her face began to fall but I caught it before it reached the ground. Her cheek was so squishy, It was like a pillow attached to her face all the time. 

I layed her head on her pillow and got up slowly. As soon as I thought I was safe I heard DeNunez say from behind me.

"You thought you could get away with that?" I turned around to DeNunez smirking at me from the pile of boys.

"Listen-" I started but DeNunez interrupted saying, "You don't need to explain man. Listen, I get it okay? You like her." He said sitting up stretching.

"DeNunez.." I started then looking back at y/n. I smiled and turned back to DeNunez who glanced at the sleeping bear and back at me.

"Yeah, I guess I do." I said shaking my head chuckling towards the floor. I admitted it, I liked y/n. Not only to DeNunez, but I admitted it to myself too.
