Three Hours

For three hours I ran through the castle, searched the library and the dragon's dungeon even outside in the garden.

I ordered my men to search every corner of the castle.

This morning when I woke up she was no longer there. I assumed she went searching for breakfast

I knew I had to apologize for my behavior for the past few days

The more I tried to push Luna away the more I was drawn in.

After a few hours of waiting for her to return from breakfast, I got ready and started to look for her

But I never found her.

'Nicco, have you seen luna?' I found that particular blonde-haired boy from yesterday. They seemed close

" No sir I have not seen-"

I found myself swinging my fist against the castle wall. I ignore the pain and watch the pebbles crumble onto the castle floor

Just to be swept away in a couple of hours.

The wall will be mended before anyone even notices the damage

Not a single thing will be left behind besides my fleet memories of the incident and the pain that shot up my arm every time I moved my hand.

This castle does not care who is lost to protect the king

At this moment I was sure this was the hand of my father, the king.

He probably saw how I cared for her and decided he did not like it. This is not the first time, but this time he will not get away with it.

" Nicco gather all the guards in the courtyard in the next ten minutes"

Nicco stood cautiously glancing at me

" Now!"

Nicco quickly scrambled down the hall collecting soldiers on his way.

I have prepared all of the guards outside of the castle we are going to head into the village to find her

I heard a guard yelling for the gates to open. I am sure that it was servants bringing in supplies from the village for the castle.

A single cart appeared right before us.

The man guiding the cart froze in fear when he noticed the 100 guards and the prince standing before him.

Out of the back of the cart, I notice two women sticking their heads out of the cart and then quickly pulling it back inside.

Something on one of the girls' heads reflected the sun rays making it appear like the moon's reflection on the quiet ocean.

I already knew what could make that reflection.

" Luna!" I found myself yelling once more

Part of me was relieved that we found her and that she was safe. Another part of me was still afraid of what could happen to her because of me. That fear made me feel even angrier.

I marched over to the cart. The driver was so afraid that he ran out of the cart.

I didn't even realize that my body had lit itself on fire.

A small body had run out of the cart and knelt before me

" Sir we are so sorry we must have forgotten to inform you that I was taking Luna into the village to help me shop for Chef Caesar!"

She bowed her head to the ground in shame.

" Stand," I said

She slowly stood up keeping her eyes trained on the floor. I recognized her face. I saw her often in my father's quarters. She was his favorite entertainer.

" Leave" I had no intention to speak to my father's mistress any longer

" Sir please do not punish her it was my mistake i-"

"I said to leave" she bowed her head and left quickly

As I turned to watch her leave I felt a cold sensation running down my body

I looked down to realize I was covered by water.

There had been no clouds in the sky before and no sight of buckets to be poured onto my body

I looked back to see Luna

Standing there with a disappointed expression on her face. She seemed to always be angry or disappointed with me

" Don't you dare talk to her like that apologize" she yelled approaching me

I noticed she was wearing my clothes once more, but of course, she cut them up so that she could be comfortable

" Why do you always-" she continued to lecture me in a lower volume so my men would not hear what she had to say.

But as I spoke my eyes drifted to all the gems she had attached to her clothes.

These are not just any kind of buttons these were marriage proposals

" you should never talk to someone like they are less than Human kai-"

" every single day it seems like you find a new person to bully and-

Twenty- eight

Twenty- nine

"I demand that you apologize to her or I will never speak to you again and I am taking nova and leaving

Forty- three!!!!

She had received forty-three marriage proposals in three hours

A hand slapped my shoulder snapping me out of my daze. I looked at luna who was now standing with the girl who knelt before me earlier

" well" she then began to stomp her foot impatiently

Without even a single thought I quickly apologized and turned back to Luna

" We need to talk"

She stood there in shock

All the men did

Not only did I let her hit me

Yell at me

Discipline me in public

But I also apologized in front of all my men to the castles 'entertainer'

What is this girl doing to me?

I walked towards luna I didn't know what I wanted to say but I just had not seen her all-day

Just as I opened my mouth the sound of trumpets filled our ears

A young man rode on a horse from the castle carrying the king's seal

Once he reached us he dismounted and walked up to luna

" you are under arrest by the kings' orders"
