IX. "Cat and Mouse"

AT THE MUSIC CLUB ROOM....

The club members are now playing their instruments.

After they were playing, their club teacher went in front of them.

"Okay members, I want you to find your pair and you both are given a task to compose a music, submit it to me tonight by 9 PM" Ms. Lee told them.

Taehyung was there, then he saw Jisoo.

Jisoo was smiling at him and was about to go to him when he grabbed someone else to be his pair.

It was HyunJin.

"Bro.. let's be partners." He told him.

Jisoo pouted and luckily, Irene was there to become her partner.

After their club meeting...

Jisoo tried her best to go after Taehyung who was now walking with HyunJin at the corridors.

"Hey Tae..."Jisoo called out but Taehyung kept walking.

Jisoo had no choice but to run and brush her finger on his back.

"Tae..."

Taehyung stopped in his tracks and looked at her.

"What?" He asked in his dead cold face.

"Can we talk? Like, right now?"

"I'm busy maybe some other time." Then Taehyung continued in his tracks together with HyunJin

Jisoo's heart cracked into pieces.

She doesn't know if she could still restore their relationship.

What was once a sweet relationship turned out into something bitter.

At the classroom...

Jisoo's heart got torn more when she saw Taehyung holding the hand of their other classmate, Shannon and smiling at her.

Then not just that, both were laughing.

At least he's happy now.... Jisoo smiled bitterly, her tears forming on the corner of her eyes

Months started to pass by, both Jisoo and Taehyung started to become like strangers.

There are times when Taehyung would just avoid Jisoo whenever she's near him

Taehyung started hanging out with his guy friends even more.

His friends also liked Shannon more than Jisoo.

This time Jisoo was outside the corridor..

staring unto the sun setting.

It's been months and we don't talk anymore... It's time for healing and to move on.... Jisoo stared hopelessly from afar.

Taehyung who just went out of the classroom saw her, and his expressions softened.

His eyes feel like sad upon seeing her.

"Yah Taehyung... Shall we go downstairs?" Nam Joon asked him, then he wrapped his arm around him.

"Sure."

As they both went down, Nam Joon looked at him with concern.

"Yah aren't you really going to talk to her again?"

"Why would I?"

"Dude, we talked awhile ago. She's leaving this school and city. She's transferring."

Taehyung stopped in shock.

"Dude... What did you say?"

"She's leaving. You don't have enough time. You gotta talk to her and lower down your pride."

Taehyung scoffed and continued walking.

"Bro, it's really going to be your loss!" Nam Joon's voice echoed enough for Taehyung to hear.

Summer Month (April)

Taehyung woke up to the sound of his alarm clock.

He went to the shower and changed to his casual clothes.

Then he opened his social media account.

He saw a picture of Jisoo with Jinyoung.

Both decided to move to another city and became closer.

Taehyung closed his laptop in agony.

Then he scrolled through the photos of Jisoo in his phone.

Taehyung didn't want to feel this way but he'd figure out that this was his punishment.

For his pride, he just lost the girl whom he truly loved.

Years passed, months passed.

Even though he had friends to cheer him up, no one could really mend his broken heart.

And his love life is a mess.

As he was walking on the streets, he looked at the cherry blossoms falling down from its tree.

It feels different without you here... He thought.

All those denying and letting her feel jealous resulted to this...his own unhappiness..

I miss you... He thought.
