Pico stared up at the ceiling, still lying awake as the sun rose.

He hadn't been able to sleep all night.

He'd been to busy overthinking last night.

He couldn't get Keith out of his head.

If he had slept, he would have thought it was a dream, but he knew it had happened.

It just seemed so wrong. It was so wrong for someone to be able to make him feel this way.

Didn't Keith have a girlfriend? He could be remembering that wrong.

His arm was going numb again. It's not like it was ever not numb. The skin on his hand had been darkening lately, and his fingers were oddly pointed. This wasnt the worst of his problems at the moment. He just kept it hidden in a sock when he needed to go out in public.

He sat up and went to the window, opening the shutters.

Sunlight streamed into the dull room, covering everything like a hot blanket.

Pico brushed some hair behind his ear, squinting in the bright light.

He placed around for a while, waiting for an acceptable time to get up.

He ended making his bed and cleaning out his closet, even if there wasn't much to do.

By the time he was done, it was only 6:30, and Pico was getting impatient.

He left his room to go downstairs and wait there.

The hallway was dark, all of the doors closed. He glanced at the dark grey walls before heading down.

He tread lightly on the creaky stairs.

Nene was sipping her coffee with a dazed look in her eyes, steam unfurling into her face.

Pico cleared his throat. "You're up early."

"So are you." She muttered, taking a sip of coffee. "I'm always up this early."

"Whatever. I just couldnt sleep."

"Why not?"

"Dunno, I was thinking a lot."

"About what?"

"Stuff."

"What kind of stuff?"

"You ask a lot of questions."

"You deny a lot of answers."

Pico hesitated before answering. "I was thinking about Kieth."

"Aw, tough guy has a crush~" Nene teased.

"I guess you could say that."

"You should ask him out."

"He has a girlfriend though."

"Yeah, but they barely ever talk. After the first time Keith ignored her, she sent so many texts and called him so many times I had to come downstairs and put his phone on silent. Shes stopped with the calls, but still texts constantly."

"How do you know?"

"You arent the only one who talks to Keith, I thought I just made that clear."

"Does he talk about me?"

"Why would I tell you that?"

Pico stayed silent. He didn't really have a reason.

"Just ask him out, you won't regret it. I'll even set up a double date or something, I'm good with planning things."

"Who'd you go with?"

"A girl. Doesn't matter to you."

"Well, how am I supposed to ask him out?"

"It really doesn't matter, just don't go all out or anything, it makes you seem desperate."

"That doesn't clear up anything."

"Just ask him out. It's not that confusing." Nene sighed.

"So I'm just supposed to walk up to him and just tell him?"

"Spot on."

"That sounds so stupid though."

"Everything is stupid. Just get it over with."

"What if I embarrass myself?"

"Then I guess you embarrass yourself. Just don't overthink it."

Pico tapped his foot nervously.

"You're overthinking it."

"Definetly."

"Just ask him when he comes downstairs."

"But I-"

"You aren't listening. Tell him. If you won't, I will, and I dont think you want that."

"Nene, I swear-"

Keith came downstairs and into the kitchen. "Good Morning."

"Good Morning Keith." Pico said, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Pico has something to tell you." Nene took another sip of coffee.

Pico glared at Nene.

"What is it?"

Pico looked down at the floor, clutching the fabric in his pockets.

"Do you want me to say it for you?" Nene asked.

"No, I can say it." Pico swallowed hard, a lump welling up in his throat
"Keith, I was wondering if we could... oh my god I cant say it. Nevermind, nevermind."

Nene cleared her throat. "He wants to go on a date with you."

"Oh come on, you didn't have to say it." Picos face got warm.

"I told you I would tell him if you didn't, and you didn't tell him."

Keith looked at Pico with an astonished look on his face. "You do?"

"If you're okay with it. Not if you don't want to. How about we just pretend this never happened-" Pico tried to walk off, but Keith grabbed his shoulder.

"Of course I'll go on a date with you!" He smiled brightly.

"Don't you have a girlfriend?"

Keith's smile faltered, his hand dropping to his side. "We don't talk much anymore."

"If you say so."

Sorry if this chapter is bad. I just wanted to get it over with.
