Wander there

The large room

With darkened corners

A feeling of a public intimacy

And on one side

A stage

A platform

A bright-spot in the dimness of the room

The anti-depressant gloom

A supernova in a black hole

Glowing brightly

A spot-light

A center point

An aura

There stands a musical god

In his hands a power glows

His instrument

His spear

His trident

His white steed

His best friend

And the seed of musical delight

He starts

The sounds small

Building momentum

A pendulum in the eardrums

For a moment

All that can be done is to stare

Stare in mute anticipation and horror

Would the delight be as great as anticipated

Or a flat, fallen note?

Countdown to mind-explosion

And the speakers rock

The music shaking

The party now fully underway

The croon of the instrument

The boom of the voice

Oh the delight

The musical insight

The fantasy spins as the eyes close

Absorbing the notes through porous skin

Living tissue

Feeding the soul

Through the layers of muscle and sinew

Born anew

In a musical revolution

A revelation of notes and rhythm

Rejoice for the pounding

The astounding

Musical epiphany

The instrument croons

The crowd swoons

And it's hard to stay on your feet

You're floating

Moving among notes

And the taps of time

Writhing among voices

And mentally chasing stars

Cloud-dancing

And exhaustedly awake

Musical delight

No fright

Only the love of a person

With the musical prowess

Of the musical masterpieces
