"Oh hey! Look how convenient this is." he said walking over. I threw the trash bag in the trashcan and closed the lid. By the time I finished closing the lid he had already been on my side of the street.
"How was your dinner?" He asked looking at my face with a wide smile. "uh... It was good" I said a little confused. Why was he starring at my face like that? "Is something wrong?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows.
"Yeah, very wrong." He said and started bursting into laughter.
I nudged his arm making him look at me. "What is wrong?! Why are you laughing?" I said this time stepping closer.
"There's sauce on your cheek." he said before chuckling again. I angered my face and turned around.
"C'mon y/n, I was only joking." He said placing his right hand on my left shoulder.
I turned around and started laughing, "Oh well, guess it shows how good my moms cooking tastes." I said with a smirk licking my lips.
We started laughing, "Well I better get going inside before my mum gets worried." I said slowly ending my laughter. "same. see ya tomorrow y/n!" He said smiling while walking backwards.
"See you tomorrow!" I said and watched as he spun around and jogged off into his house. I spun around and did the same.
The next day
I woke up the next day earlier than usual. I got up feeling excited and happy, I ran to the bathroom connected to my room and got ready. I brushed my hair and teeth, Deodorant, perfume, and got changed.

I ran downstairs, "Morning mum!" I said sitting at the table with a wide smile on my face. "Morning sweetie-" my mom said pausing when she saw me. "y/n what's making you so happy? You haven't smiled like that since-" she stopped. I knew exactly why she paused, my smile soon became a little more weak. "sorry, I didn't mean to-" she began before I interrupted. "It's fine mom! You don't need to apologize." I said sending a smile, that was clearly fake. She frowned and set a plate of eggs and bacon in front of me. "what's making you happy?" she said a bit less happy. "I'm just excited to see the group again, plus a new kid wants to play! Benny and me are going to teach him to play!" I said smiling. "Aww, your so sweet! What's this new kids name?" She asked setting her plate down and taking a seat. "Scotty, Scotty Smalls." I answered taking a big bite of eggs. She finished swallowing and replied, "I know his parents, they stopped by yesterday while you were gone. They wanted to introduce themselves, very cute family." She said taking another bite of eggs. "Yeah! There son is cute too." I said before realizing what I said. My mom was wiggling her eyebrows at me, "NOT THAT WAY! My gosh.. he's like a year younger." I said looking at my empty plate. "Oh, whatever you say." She giggled than digged into her plate. "Ima start heading over, thanks for the food mom." I said standing up putting my plate in the sink.
