Lets play some ball!

I tossed the ball to Benny.
"Now let's play ball!"

The boys all stared at Benny with a confused look, "your letting a girl?!" Started Ham, "play baseball?! She cant play!" Yelled squints.

"Yeah yeah! Girls don't play, they play dress up and Barbie's!" Yelled yeah-yeah.

"Barbie's?! Excuse you! I'm not into Barbie's! And on top of that, I can play baseball! I even play better than you!" I yelled making a statement, I took the ball out of benny's hand.

"Where's she goin'?" Asked Bertram.

"She's going to show us how she plays ball! Maybe she's better than you toilet lickers" said Benny running up to his position.

"Do we follow?" Asked Squints
"Duh!" Said Timmy followed by Tommy.

The boys came in running as I got ready to bat. I got in position and waited for someone to pitch.

Kenny came over and got in his position.

"I'll go easy on you!" He yelled.

"No need, give me your best pitch!" I yelled back louder so the rest of the team could here.

"Okay~, don't go home crying to your 'mommy~' if you miss!" Kenny said amused.

The rest of the boys all giggled except Benny, Benny looked at me and put a friendly thumbs up.

"As if! If anything you'll be the one going home crying to your momma when you find out I'm better than you and your entire team!" I yelled giving Kenny my 'give me the best you've got' glare.

The ball was pitched, the ball was fast but too easy. I swung and.. 'CRACK!'.
As expected I hit the ball. But what surprised me was that I hit a home run! I ran all the bases and made it back to home.

I grabbed my water from my backpack that was lying on the outside of the dugout fence. I watched all the boys eyes sparkle, even Benny was amazed. I was even amazed, I had hit a homerun during the perfect situation!

The boys huddled up and whispered, Benny stepped out of the circle of secrets and walked up to me.

"So...?" I asked with a 'told ya so' face.

"So.. your in!" He said reaching out his hand.

I quickly reacted by shaking it. "Thanks!" I said.

"You don't got to thank me. You have mad talent!" He said lowering his hand.

He smiled to which I returned. Than he looked at the boys who's eyes were sparkling, "base up!" Benny yelled.

We played for an hour and about a half, when Benny was up to bat. He got in the perfect stance eyeing Kenny.

Kenny pitched the ball directly towards Benny's bat. Benny swung the bat, and off went the ball.

"Watch out!" Yelled ham. I turned around and saw a kid with dirty blonde hair try and catch the ball.
He didn't catch it, instead he tripped over his own feet and the ball hit him in the head. He fell on his bum.

The boys all started laughing except for me and Benny.

The boy got up and dusted him self off, "kay, I'll get it!" He yelled.

He walked over to the ball that landed under a bush near a fence.

"We are waiting~!" Yelled squints.

The boy picked up the ball and ran back to were he had been standing.

Obviously he didn't know how to play since the ball landed only a few feet ahead of him.
