Edward blinked, trying to process what she had just said. She bit her lip, looking at his face, finding some sort of reaction.
"Am I hearing you wrong?" he asked for clarification, baffled whether his ears, even with heightened hearing played tricks on him or it was just the truth.
Eleanora nodded her head in confirmation, "It's true. You told me you wouldn't judge me in the car." she reminded. He breathed in and out before looking at her.
"It wasn't that. It was just unexpected." he defended. He was still trying to process the three words she spoke.
"What did you think I was?" she asked, crossing her arms. She rose an expecting eyebrow.
He hesitated before answering, "Maybe a mermaid?"
She burst out laughing, Edward looked away in slight embarrassment. If he could blush, he would be steaming. "It isn't humorous." he tried to end his dilemma.
She stopped and smiled, "I'm a dragon, just to clarify. I don't go swimming in the water, talking about how the human world is." she stated out, clearly.
