Nyxithra's expression contorted, a flash of fear betraying her normally stoic demeanor.

"Rift," Marreanne intoned, her voice carrying an aura that echoed through the air like thunder.

As she uttered the incantation, a ripple of energy surged through the air. I heard a sound like a shattering of glass from behind. It reverberated with raw power as if a barrier separating worlds had been shattered.

The ground seemed to tremble as if caught in the throes of an unseen force.

As I turned to face it, my eyes widened in disbelief. Before us, a fracture had appeared, as if the very essence of reality were being torn asunder like paper.

What I'm seeing right now is beyond incomprehensible. It was terrifying. Each jagged edge of the fracture seemed to pulse with an otherworldly energy, and I could feel the immense power radiating on the other side.

It was even more terrifying than the fissure I saw earlier. Marreanne conjuring that rift... It's unbelievable. I mean, this is the same person who couldn't even resist fruits, and now she's tearing through reality like it's nothing? It's just. . . beyond anything I could've imagined.

Si Marreanne ba talaga 'to?

"The fabled spell. . ." Raflyn's voice trailed off, her eyes wide with disbelief as she watched Marreanne cast the rift. "Marreanne, is that really. . . ?"

I glanced at Raflyn, seeing the astonishment written on her face. "That's Marreanne, right?" I asked, my own voice barely above a whisper.

"So, it's you," Nyxithra remarked, her tone laced with a casual yet cautious fervor, "the one he's been telling me to watch out for."

Marreanne's eyes narrowed slightly as she studied Nyxithra, a flicker of recognition crossing her features. "You seem familiar," she mused aloud, her voice hinting a tone of intrigue. "Nagkita na ba tayo dati?"

Nyxithra regarded Marreanne with a cool demeanor, her lips curling into a faint smirk. "Perhaps," she replied cryptically, her words infused with a subtle undertone of amusement. "But for now, let's see what you got, guardian."

Marreanne smirked, her expression filled with quiet confidence. "You'll regret facing me, Outworld," she conceded, with unwavering eyes glaring at Nyxithra as she awaited her next move.

The tension in the air crackled. Every time I breathe, I feel like my lungs are being electrified. Marreanne's smirk widened into a fierce grin as she approached the rift that she had conjured. With deliberate steps, she advanced towards it, the pulsating hues of its ethereal depths drawing her in. With a steady hand, she reached into the other side. And with a determined tug, she withdrew her trident from the rift, its three prongs gleaming with a divine radiance that cut through the darkness like a sword of light amidst the swirling shadows that enveloped Nyxithra's black grimoire, casting a stark contrast between their opposing auras.

Marreanne gave me a worried look. "Can you stand?" she asked.

"Okay lang ako, Reanne. Tingin ko mas kailangan nating alalahanin si Raflyn—"

"I'm alright. I'm just exhausted. We haven't eaten all day."

Wait. . . she's right. We haven't.

"But that's not the issue! Ang dami mong natamong pasa," asik ko. "Can you stand? I'll take you back to the town," dagdag ko pa sa mas lalong nag-aala't natatarantang boses dahil sumuka ito ng dugo.

"Raflyn!" napasigaw ako.

"I can handle this, Aeriah. Tulungan mo si Marreanne kung kaya mo. Hihiga muna ako dito."
