Ame's P.O.V

I saw my lover's lips moving, but I couldn't hear a word that he said.

Instead, there was this sort of high-pitched, ringing noise, as my eyes started to lose their color. I took a strangled breath in, while my vision faded to black.

I could no longer feel anything, it was as if all of the pain that I had just gone through, suddenly evaporated. Along with that, went my ability to feel anything at all.

My eyes remained closed for a second, as I relished in the forein feeling of there being nothing wrong. Honestly, ever since February, I hadn't had a moment to really relax.

The great sensation didn't last for long though.

My eyes popped open, as I plummeted downwards. I instinctively braced myself before the impact came by stretching my arms out in front of me.

Pain radiated from my fingers, and then my palms, and soon, my arms crumpled like paper under me. I screamed, for it felt like lava being poured into an open wound. My body spasmed, as the bones cracked into unrecognisable splinters.

My breathing was sporadic, as something weird began to happen. I howled in agony, while my bones reassembled themselves back into place. Harsh snaps filled the air around me. My arms flailed all over the place, but eventually ended up at my sides.

I hissed, as I attempted to move my hand. A pricking feeling bolted out from my finger's tips, which made me collapse back onto the floor.

Could I even really call it a floor?

By the time that the pain had dulled, I took a look around at my surroundings. I was in a never-ending space of darkness that appeared to be darker than black. No solid mass stood beneath me, it was only a gaping abyss. No walls blocked me in, but there was nowhere to go; for the darkness stretched as far as my eyes could see.

Slowly, I made my way to my feet, as minimal stinging dotted my wrists. Strangely, I could see myself. The clothes on me were rough, uncomfortable, and they reminded me of a prisoner's uniform.

A dry chuckle escaped my lips. I was a prisoner in a very literal sense.

I looked down, as I frowned. I must've died, well, that or I'm unconscious. But, judging from how this place looked, it was definitely the former.

A shudder went down my spine. I had heard of this place, for Poland had told me about it. Though, he never went in depth.

He called it the Mind Scape. It was basically a place where your mind was trapped for eternity, as you suffered unconditionally. They took the worst moments of your life and made you relive it. Except, it was supposedly worse.

"Hello?" I called out into the pit of darkness.

There was a loud bang that responded to my statement, before I hunched over with a new-found agony. I stumbled back, as my injured hands reached up to cover the wound. However, they found nothing etched into my skin. The fire was still there though, and I felt like I was burning from the inside.

Bang after bang sent me to my knees, and eventually I was tossing and turning to distract myself from the tourture. It felt so unbearable, and I would have questioned why I hadn't obtained the sweet release of death yet, but I had quickly found out that there was no such thing.

It stopped, and I choked on the tears that were spilling from my face. I coiled myself into a ball, hugged my knees, and tried to endure my suffering.
