Kiara was lying on her bed typing hastily on her laptop when Veer entered the room. It was 11:30pm.

"Hey," His voice was tired.

Kiara looked up from her screen and saw her husband in a disheveled state. "Hey, baby. How was work?"

"Tiring." He groaned and fell on the bed.

Veer had been very busy the past few weeks. He was working towards achieving a third Michelin star. He had been getting it for the past two years and wanted to make a hat trick this time.

Kiara, who was working on the menu for her own bakery, shut down her laptop and kept it aside. Yes, she was planning on opening her own new confectionary store. She was still working in Veer's bakery, but lately she'd had this craving to open something of her own. And when she discussed this idea with Veer, he supported her. He even wanted to invest in it, but Kiara stopped him. She had saved a lot of money while working in London and then in Mumbai (in KaMa) and wanted to use those funds.

"Freshen up. I'll heat the food for you." She nudged him to wake up but instead he pulled her to him and hid his face in her chest.

"No. I don't want food. I just want to cuddle you and sleep." He murmured.

"I don't want you to fall sick. You're working so much, you need food in your system." She said, running her hands through his hair.

He hummed but made no movement. A minute later, she could hear his soft snores. She left out a sigh and removed his hands from herself. She then got out of bed, took off his shoes and socks, switched off the lights and cuddled him back.

The next morning, Veer was woken up by Kiara. She had prepared breakfast in bed for him. It had everything: pancakes, omelette, toast, bacon, a bowl of fruits, juice, coffee, and a glass vase with a single rose in it.

"You know you didn't have to do this." Veer took a bite of his omelette.

"I know. But I wanted to do it." Kiara smiled at him and sipped her coffee.

A week later the news came that Veer had gotten his third Michelin star. He was over the moon hearing it. He picked up Kiara in his arms and twirled her around in excitement. She had then kissed him for a long time and told him how proud she was of him.
