Kiara had gone over to Mayera's place on Sunday. She loved spending time with Navya. The way she giggled, her little antics made Kiara forget about her pain for a little while.
Today was Monday and Kiara was driving towards the restaurant as her internship started today. She was stopped at the red signal when her phone rang.
"Hello, maa." She received the call.
"We just called to wish you luck for your new job." Janhvi said while she could hear Neeraj's voice in the background saying 'all the best, beta.'
"Thank you, maa. And also say thanks to papa." She loved her parents very much and was grateful to them for never stopping her from doing anything.
"I'll call you later. I am driving right now." The signal had turned green now.
They bid bye and Kiara pressed on the accelerator and zoomed off.
When she reached the restaurant, she was guided towards a place which looked like a banquet hall. A few people were already there. She went in and quietly stood at one side. It wasn't long before a girl made her towards Kiara.
"Hello, my name is Aanchal." She looked like a bubbly girl.
Kiara smiled at her. "I am Kiara."
"Aapka naam toh bahut pyara hai. Bilkul aap ki tarah."
It made Kiara smile. It had been too long since she had talked to new people and made friends.
"Thank you. Aap ka naam bhi bahut acha hai." Kiara returned the compliment.
"Woh toh mujhe pata hai!" Aanchal said smugly and both the girls laughed out loud.
Aanchal was a very talkative person. In less than five minutes, she told Kiara everything about her. She came from a conservative family from UP, but they lived in Delhi. Her family consisted of her mom, dad and her five siblings. She was a middle child. She also told Kiara how her parents were thinking of getting her married, so she used this internship as an excuse to postpone it.
"I mean I am just 22. What is the hurry? Ladke kaunsa bhage jaa rahe hai! Par mummy papa na samajhte hai nahi hai. Islea toh jab maine is internship ka ad dekha, main samajh gayi thi bhagwaan ne yeh mere liye hi bheja hai. Ab kam se kam kuch mahino ke liye toh ghar pr shaadi ka raag band hoga." She was going on with her talks whe Veer along with Sona entered the room.
