Nicco pt.2

Nicco closed his eyes ready for his fate but instead, a large bolt of lightning landed beside my feet.

I looked up to see Luna above me, eyes filled with anger. I realized I had hurt Luna, her master, without checking to see where Luna was.

Luna's body lit up once more.

I watched her body fill with lightning ready to strike again.

But before she had the chance lunas voice rang throughout the room

"Nova stop" without any question Nova's eyes changed and she quickly landed beside Luna and Nicco and laid down in submission.

Luna slowly helped herself up with a little bit of help from Nicco.

After she was steady she leaned on Nova's body for stability

" Nicco you can go"

"No I am not done with you" I found myself snapping

I began to walk towards him one more time but my feet actually froze to the floor and my mouth was frozen shut.

"Nicco please leave now"

Nicco didn't wait for long until he ran out of the room.

Once he was gone I felt the ice begin to melt and my anger did help to speed up the process.

" don't you ever speak over me again!" I started to yell

'But I was interrupted by a slap

The feeling of her fingers lingered on my face

I looked up at her

her eyes now filled with tears

Her lip trembled as she looked at me.

" What the hell was that," she said in a near whisper

I had no answer. One has ever questioned my behavior

"What the hell was that " she yelled pushing her body off nova

Her voice echoed throughout the stable. The sound of Leo groaning in the distance was the only other sound heard.

" you are a prince, not some rampant idiot. Nicco was just helping me and you attacked him"

"I am the Prince I do what I need. I don't have to answer to some peasant girl. Remember your place" I snapped

" And remember who saved your life Kai

With that, she walked past me and left the room

Leaving me standing there with everything I thought I should have said.

I was scared

I was scared then I was angry

Luna acts like she is tough, but I remember the words she whispers to herself when she's asleep. She risks her life to protect those around her because she doesn't know what it is like to be protected.

And I felt like I had to be the one to do it

But today I was the one who hurt her

I wanted to scare her

But for some reason, I scared myself more than I could ever scare her

These feelings

These feelings for luna

I marched around the dimly lit stable. I don't know how long I stood there but the sounds of nova and Leo's snores let me know they rested on the horizon.

I left the stable and walked out into the castle.

The servants rushed around preparing dinner for the king and his guest. Others cleaned the floors and ducked from my presence.

The hallway remained silent

My footsteps were the only thing that could be heard

I finally had enough

" where the she"

The maids looked up but remained silent like they were protecting her.

"WHERE IS SHE"

"The library"

They all answered at once leaving the hallway immediately

I headed towards the library for her

The smell of dust and the sea filled my nostrils as I entered the library.

candles lit around the room giving a faint light to late-night readers. I walked through the library searching for luna but I couldn't find her anywhere.

"Luna!"

"Luna"

The room remained as quiet as it was a few seconds ago. I paced the library for a while until i heard a groan behind the bookshelf.

I walked behind it to find luna curled up into a ball.

Her hair was scattered all over her face like last night

I found myself chuckling

I see her asleep more than I see her awake.

I walked over and carefully picked up her body

She shifted in my arms leaning into my chest.

My heart nearly leaped out of my chest.

As we left the library whispers filled the hallway but I didn't even bother to snap. I knew there was some truth in their whispers.

She will be mine

( That is if she wants to)
