Chapter 53

Lux's Point of View

"Emergency!"

I shouted the moment we entered the hospital. Naya is now lying at the gurney while her head covered with her own blood. She's unconscious and her vital signs are unstable.

Sobrang lakas ang naging impact ng malaking sasakyan sa kotse niya resulting her a very critical state. I know that because I was there and I ran her to the nearest hospital, the Lopez Medical.

Some medical personnel came to us. "Omg! Is that Nurse. Suarez?"

"Let's head to the emergency room!" They announced. Sumabay naman ako ng takbo kasama nila. Habang hawak-hawak ko pa rin ang kamay ni Naya.

"Sir. Lux?" I heard someone called me, but I ignored it. My attention was all in to Naya.

"Oh, my God! Ma'am!" Ella came to us. Siya pala 'yung tumawag sa'kin.

"A-ano pong nangyari, Sir. Lux?" She asked, following us to the emergency room.

"Car accident." Tipid kong sagot ng hindi lumilingon sa kaniya.

"Oh, my God!" Ella exclaimed, naka-hawak na rin siya sa gurney at naiiyak na rin.

I'm holding Naya's hand tightly, but my hands are trembling, my whole body is trembling.

Naya stay on me, please.

"Hanggang dito na lang po kayo." Hinarang na kami ng nurse sa pintuan ng emergency room.

I had no choice but to stay outside even though I really want to be at Naya's side and hold her hand until she wakes up.

I leaned my back against the wall and slowly sat down using through my foot. I also leaned my head before I closed my eyes and exhaled a large amount of air.

This is not what I wanted. Fuck! This is all my fault!

If I just didn't rush her. If only I gave her what she wanted, none of this could happen. Hindi sana kritikal ang lagay niya ngayon.

"Sir. Lux, a-ayos lang po ba kayo?" I heard Ella asked. I just nodded but I remained my eyes close. She doesn't need to worry about me.

"I'm going to call Ma'am. Naya's family first para po malaman din nila." She said but I didn't respond. "Paano ko pa ba sasabihin sa kanila 'to?" Para siyang kinakabahan at naiiyak.

Nanatili lang ako sa posisyon ko and I'm not even moving. They need to know about Naya's situation right now. I'm not sure what will happen when they arrived here and saw me after 8 years, but I don't really care at all.

Kahit na ayaw nila akong makita at kahit ano pang gulo ang mangyari ay hinding-hindi ako aalis dito.

I heard Ella's phone rang. "G-good evening po. H-hello po, are you Ma'am. Suarez's mother? I'm Ella po, her secretary. Huwag po sana kayong mabibigla pero si Ma'am. Naya ay nasa emergency room po ngayon dahil po sa isang car accident." I heard Tita's cry. I'm imagining her reaction right now. "Yes po. Dito po sa Lopez Medical, okay po. Ingat po." She ended the call.

"P-papunta na raw po sila rito." She informed me and I just nodded. I should at least prepare myself. I can accept their anger towards me which is natural, but I won't leave.
