TikTok: stephanie.with.an.aStephanie is as much an avid reader as she is gang-ho about cranking out new chapters. Labeling it the way she breaks through writer's block and her favorite way to pass time.
I'm with her, continuously discovering your love of literature is the best way to stay inspired.
I crown Stephanie the queen of fanfiction. Her list of Wattpad Twilight fanfics is impressive: two completed, one completed five-parter, one completed one-parter, and two ongoing.
Hold on while I catch my breath.
Then I'll let you in on a secret that years ago she wrote a slew of Dawson's Creek fanfictions as DruesNaughtyAngel housed on a different site.
Stephanie knows her way around steamy romance: Taking Chances and The Fight In You are hot but there's actual meat to the plot beyond the angsty longing and throwing caution to the wind and diving into love. I'm forever leaving comments on her stories staying I love how she includes realistic details. The dialogue is natural and relationships don't feel forced.
Bad boys with toxic tendencies are some of her favorites to write—her favorite character Chance is the quintessential example. Disciplined, mysterious, and a little broken, Chance surrenders to love Cami with his whole heart.
Female MCs with soft hearts who love damaged men are a sweet spot that Stephanie authors, and she does it so, so well. If you love racy romance with struggling MCs going through character development, you will love StephanieWithAnA.
Do you have any ideas for future work? I have an idea for an age gap story I might write once I finish the three that need completion.
Who and what do you love to read? I love reading romance novels. The spicier, the better.
I love everything by TamaraLush and Alwyn_Knighton.
I've also enjoyed all the biker stories from Biker Wife. The Real series by Katy Evans was so good also. I read several books by Mia Sheridan and loved them all but especially Archer's Voice. I could go on and on.
What's great about a platform like Wattpad, and what's not?
The praise is nice—it feels good to hear that someone enjoyed what you spent time crafting. I like meeting other authors with similar interests. The hardest thing is knowing that some people will only read what you've written if you read them first.
