Jungkook entered the passcode and opened the door, trying to be as quiet as possible. He padded towards his bedroom only to be stopped by a voice.

"Guess who's finally home?" Yoongi's voice echoed in the silence

"Shit" Jungkook cussed under his breath. Slowly, he turned around to face the other male

There he was with his arms folded in front of his chest and his face adorning a sarcastic smile.

"I told you to go to sleep" Jungkook sighed

"And I told you to come home but, what did you do?" Yoongi raised his brow

"Sorry" Jungkook apologized, grinning a little.

"Whatever" Yoongi shrugged. "So are you going to work tomorrow?" He then asked

"You knew she was going to ask me to come?" Jungkook asked, surprised that Yoongi was aware.

"While you were having a fight with those criminals, he called me."

"Who? Your spy?" Jungkook guessed

"Yeah. He told me Y/N talked with him and said something about asking you to come" the other male revealed

"You both talk to each other this late at night?" Jungkook was surprised

"We do. He's a childhood friend of mine. Actually, my only friend." Yoongi elaborated

"Woah!! You were in contact with him all this time!!" Jungkook chuckled bitterly. "And I had no idea."

"No, stupid. I came in touch with him when you took the decision to join BBC News. Coincidentally, he was working there so I asked him to spy on you."

"Of course"

"I'm not lying" Yoongi raised his hands in the air.

"Forget it. I've to wake up early tomorrow- or later, so let me go to sleep." Jungkook said, yawning at the end

"Don't go. I don't think you are ready to face all the backlash you are receiving." Yoongi tried to convince the taller male to stay.

"Don't worry, Yoongi. I'll be fine." Jungkook assured

"And what makes you believe that?" Yoongi raised his brow

Jungkook took a look at his now bandaged wrist. "Her" he answered

Flashback.....

Jungkook was leaving the building when you closed the door on his face but stopped in his tracks midway. He walked back towards your apartment and knocked on the door.

"Y/N" he called

"I'm not gonna open the door" you informed, your voice stern

There was a big possiblity of Jungkook messing around with you again, if he let you in. He knew what affect he had on you and you didn't want to feed his ego.

"Fine. Don't do it" Jungkook smiled, shaking his head. "Just answer this one question." He requested

"What is it?" You asked leaning against the door with Jungkook emulating the same action from other side.

"How do you manage to... stay cheerful all the day after having that scary nightmare almost every night?" He inquired

You did not expect him to go all serious like that, resulting in you taking a lot of time to answer his question.

"I...." you started. "It wasnt always this easy. In the beginning, I used to cry all day thinking about it but eventually, I learned that I can't let it affect me." You stated
