Ch. 9: Back Home We Go!

3 days had passed ever since yellow steve and green steve found out about my injuries...

We've moved on in our journey.

I think you can already imagine what happened...

They didn't leave me, but...

Now they're both incredibly overprotective. And I mean that. They haven't taken their eyes off me since 3 days ago.

Personal space? No more! I don't really mind that they want to protect me... I understand that part. It's for my safety.

But what about getting dressed is dangerous, in any way, shape or form????

I just wanna put my shirt on by myself.

but... No...!

Greens gotta help me and make sure I don't rip one of my wounds! Ugh. I swear.

I love these two dorks but... Sometimes I would like to just.... Put 'em in a pit.

Alright...

Back to what I'm dealing with.

"Greeeeeeeeeeeeen!! I can dress myself...! You don't need to help. I've done this so many times before... I've had wounds at that time as well. I can handle this!!!" I argue as I push green out of the tent.

"Sabre! I just wanna make sure you don't hurt yourself!" Green says, his voice laced with concern. "yeah. Do that AFTER I'm done with dressing! I swear people these days. No privacy." I curse while getting back to dressing.

I finish getting dressed and walk out of the tent, immediately bumping into green who was standing where I left him. He looks at me with worry.

"Green really... I'm fine..." I speak softly giving him a hug. He hugs me back. "I just want to make sure you're okay...." Green Whispers with guilt in his tone.

"I know... But there's a line... And undressing me is far beyond that line..." I tell him and look him in the eyes... To the best of my ability.

" *sigh* I know..." Green says as he realized how strange it sounds put into words.

"so...let's just forget this ever happened." I say as I let go of the hug and turn to our little sitting spots around the campfire.

"Oh~ I 'ain't forgetting this happened~" yellow says with a smug look, laying on a log in a 'paint me like one of your French girls' pose.

"       Shut. 🐔👌>:/     "

I ignore yellow and walk over to sit down on a log as well.

" so... Should we get going on our journey or should we start heading back to the kingdom?" I ask while stretching. "I don't know... I feel like we should start heading back... I mean... It's up to you two really... Oh! And our food rations." Green says, sitting down next to me.

"Our food situation is good. But I do kinda miss the town a little... Wonder how light steve's doing..." I mention and feel green hugging me again, resting his head in my neck.

"You tired bud?" I ask, my face flushed red.

"mhmm... Not really all that awake yet..." Green mumbles.

"W-what do you think yellow?" I ask trying my best to ignore the shivers running down my spine.

"Hm... I don't really mind going back... How long have we been gone for... Didn't you promise light steve we'd be back within 2 weeks?" yellow asks back. "oh... Yeah I did... It's been 8 days since we left..." I say going over the events that happened within that time in my head.
