Chapter 12: Istar

Mazoku
I wake up at noon now sober and back to my senses. I make some food and the others soon wake up after they smell the food I'm making.

"Merlin... They've come back. You know what needs to be done." I say.

Merlin nods and the others are slightly confused.

Soon we make it to the place I'm looking for.

"We're here. Istar." Merlin says.

I stand on the balcony and stare at the view.

I jump off of the balcony and meet at the gate of Istar. I walk in and see 3 people I havent seen in a long time.

"Jenna, Zaneri, Theo. Its wonderful to meet you three again." I say calmly.

"Mazoku, Seven Deadly Sins, Elizabeth the fourth princess of Liones, Gilthinder, Howzer, Griamor. Welcome to Istar!" Jenna says happily.

"What...?" I hear Meliodas say.

I ignore the others and stand there and wait. I see Zaneri put Meliodas' hand between her breasts and I growl a little and give Zaneri a death stare. She backs off and she leads me, Meliodas, and Elizabeth to the tower on the right.

Zaneri explains that Meliodas is going to be put on a trial to see if he is capable to recieve his power back. She gives a goblet with dirt and a seed for Elizabeth and tells her to make it grow. Zaneri doesnt explain anything about why I'm here to Meliodas or Elizabeth and she nods to me.

I wait until Meliodas is finished with his task as memories flood through my mind. Zaneri agrees to return Meliodas' power to him anyway and Elizabeth has stopped trying to make the seed grow. I grab the goblet and remove the seed without her noticing and give it back saying she needs to concentrate. Zaneri nods to me and I take a deep breath.

I start to sing as I'm pulled into my trial.

"Chest is rising yeah I'm counting my breaths
One, two, three
Got my demons singing songs in my head
Do, Re, Mi
Making friends with the monsters underneath my bed
Hoping that they dont leave me for dead

Now I lay me down to sleep
Hope someones watching over me
Pray the lord my soul to keep

As I sing the refrain I'm pulled out of my trial. I'm panting and sweat is falling down my face. Before anyone can say anything I speak.

"I'm fine. Put me back in. I can do this." I say.

Zaneri nods to me again and I'm put back in. I start to sing again.
