Maverine Writes New Book

Marla's best friend Maverine will write about her and her friends Paul Krause and Wally Hilgenberg called "Paul, Wally and Me."

It's about two boys who first met at Iowa college in 1960, ended up with Wally's death in 2008 four days after his birthday. Maverine actually first met them in 1968 when she was 10. Her sister Patty wrote "Never Go Back" in 1984, the same year as Maverine's mother's death.

Maverine, Paul and Wally were making business, making arts and crafts, hunting, golfing, fishing, singing and playing guitar. They were also good speakers. They were close friends of several Minnesota natives like Keith Fahnhorst and Larry Cole, and even singer Marla Medders, the Iowa born.

The book will be released on May 21. Here's the photo sampler for the book.
