During the winter storm and the power outage, Marla and her husband Kyle went to Lakeville, Minnesota at the house of her best friend Maverine Michael. Maverine's boyfriend Duane has recovered the virus before the meeting. Marla's children Faron and Natalee had their generators at their homes, but Natalee was headed back to Florida where Brendan's parents had lived, and Faron went to his brother-in-law Reid's house.
Marla also confirms that D.D. Lewis is headed back to Tennessee to be with his older sisters Sally and Sandra, and Larry Cole is headed back to Minnesota to be with his older brother Roger.
On the morning of Feb. 19, Paul Krause turned 79, Paul and his wife Pam came at Maverine's house for a celebration, and Marla and Kyle were there as well.
