He was finally coming back home after months of shooting. I was excited to see him in person again, but the tabloids I saw the past week shifted my mood a little. He went out with his co-star almost every night, I didn't usually pay any mind to it considering they're friends- This time was different.
He was strolling down the streets of Paris with her, her hand caressing his face, both of them staring intensely at one another. I scroll to the next photo, and felt my heart stop, she was leaned up to kiss him as his eyes were still focused on her.
He was in the same exact outfit he wore the day previously, he had facetimed me wearing it before he went out.
I could feel my heart in my throat and the bottom of my stomach at the same time. The hot tears stinging my eyes, daring to fall because of the article I just scrolled past.
'A new love for Timothée?' It read. the only thing running through my mind now was every picture of them, almost attached at the hip throughout his whole stay. The way he looked at her, was the way he had looked at me too.
I stare blankly at the wall letting my thoughts consume me completely, so fully I didn't feel the wetness covering my cheeks rapidly. Not even the door opening jarred me from my insecurities.
