Chapter 4: The Discovery

I walked around the castle a bit, having nothing to do. Of course I could go destroy an AU or two but we did a lot of that this week. Not to mention I just sent three of my henchmen (children) to go find the squid

Why did I do it? Well, it's simple really. But where would the fun be if I just told ya? Exactly, there wouldn't be any.

Anyway, I walked back to my bedroom and sat, more like plopped, onto my bed. I was extremely bored and all and yada yada yada. I opened a window portal and looked around for Ink that way and yea I know only the squid and the glitch are supposed to be able to open them but here's the thing with corruption. I. Dont. Care.

I flipped through some more before it landed on what looked like an antivoid. It looked like windows vista's but there were no string and no puppets. Is this a new void?

I looked around a bit before I stopped on a figure that looked like a skeleton. It was facing its back to me so I couldn't see anything really

It had these white cloths, as if it had lost all its color. It was wearing a white scarf fading into a grey and then a black, and had what I assumed was a jacket, to which was also just as white as the scarf

When the figure turned and looked at my window I was suprised. It had to be him! But.. the only resemblance that it WAS him was a ink blotch on its right cheek

"What are you doing Nightmare?"

If it was Ink it sure as hell didn't sound like him. He sounded so... emotionless.

"Ink? Is that you?"

The figure looked at me and shook its head.

"I'm not 'Ink'. I'm Scratch. Night are you feeling sick again?"

I couldn't believe it. It was almost as if he had reset completely. He hasn't called himself Scratch since...

We were kids...

You may be wondering what is goning on so imma explain real quick.

When Ink was still emotionless he found out he could open windows, then portals.

He accedently opened a portal to Dreamtale and stumbled upon the Tree of Feelings, along with the elder twin brother, Nightmare.

They hung out until Ink, or Scratch, would have to go.

He never really met Dream unti later on when Dream figured out how to open portals himself and went to Scratch's empty AU where they soon became friends.

Dream and Scratch began to hang out more and more, Scratch then getting the emotion vials and changing his name to Ink, which had made Nightmare jealous

In his eyes, Dream was stealing his one chance at happiness, and also stealing his crush. With that and the villagers picking on him he soon had enough and bit into the negative apple
