Chapter 16

"You can't hide here forever" Li shouted.
She slammed down her shoes.
Tears brimming slightly.
Li's voice was forced through her agony.

Anne simply turned her head back to the broken mirror. Brushing her blonde locks unfazed.

"You put it there didn't you? You loosened the string?!" Li shouted walking closer to Anne.
Li lifted her skirt slightly to get there faster towards her.

Anne looked up at Li unamused.

"What are you talking about Li??" Bao yelped as she walked into the chambers.
Jumping beside her taller companion.

Li was breathing heavily.
"Go back to work Bao."

This didn't work on Bao, she frowned and turned Li towards her.

"Tell me!" Bao grabbed Li's shoulders.
Li wasn't one to lose her cool. The abrupt fury wasn't dull. Li was angry, really angry.

"That bitch framed Y/N!" Li pointed, her veins slightly poking out her fist.
Bao shook her head hearing the choice of words.

"What?" Bao covered her mouth, tears already falling.

"You heard me, you know that bracelet Y/N carries around? Anastasia put it in her clothing. Y/N had no choice to carry it with her unless she wanted it to go missing. What Y/N didn't know was that the rope hanging from her wrist was tattered. Anastasia tore it....Azula must have found out about it and Y/N fought for it." Li clutches her fist.
Bao knitted her eyebrows.

"How do you know this Li?" Bao knitted her eyebrows.

"Because I managed to steal it from the captive cell Azula had it in." Li raises the bright blue bracelet.
Something in Anastasia clicked. Her eyebrows deepening.

Anastasia stopped brushing her hair.
She put down the brown wooden brush and stood up. Reaching her hand out she spoke.

"If you know what's good for you, you'll give that to me." Anastasia remenced.
Li took a moment to recoil her thoughts.

"Ha! You dumb clown of a servant. Or if I should even call you that!" Li clutched the bracelet to her chest.

Bao stepped up closer towards their bunk beds .

"You said you wouldn't cause problems Anne!" Bao screamed throwing a pillow at the blonde.

"And you believed it?" Anne caught the pillow.

Slowly, heat arose from her palm. Heat absorbing the pillow until it bursted into black flames. Radiating low heat, light not daring to make its way out of the seams.

The two other servants took a step back.
"Maybe you forgot who's at the upper hand here?" Anastasia stepped closer.
She glared at the two, a smile stuck on her face.

"Now, give.me.the.bracelet." Anastasia reached her hand out. Slightly tilting her hand.

"NO! I'm going to turn you in! Imposter!" Bao turns around towards the door.

Anastasia had them whipped. Li and Bao were trembling.

Bao didn't get far, the pillow covered in black flames made its way to her back, burning her.
Bao fell to floor with a shriek.

Her scream was blood curdling, voice full and painful. Li winced when her companion fell to the floor.

"You two, do we have to do this every time a new handmaiden decides to get herself killed? You tried to protect this one, but failed. Y/N is a lost memory." Anastasia walked closer towards Li. She slightly graced Li's chin.

Li wasn't going to let her guard down.
"Why do you do this?" Li asked silently sobbing.

"You already know the answer to that." Anastasia snatched the bracelet out of Li's hand.

"Wait!" Latem arouse from her sudden nap.

The sudden movement frightened team avatar.
"Weren't you dead??" Sokka shouted.

"Young man I'm 73 years-young. Naps are my way of living." Latem sighed.

"What do you need Ms.Latem?" Katara crouched back down to the blonde woman.

"I want you to rescue my dearest granddaughter." Latem asked.

"What?!" Katara, Sokka, and Toph shouted.
"You heard me, give me back my grand baby."
Latem yawned.
"You must be out of your mind if you think we're going to break into the Fire Nation-"
Sokka started.

"We'll do it." Aang lifted his chin.
Katara and Sokka turned their heads to look at Aang.

"Are you crazy little dude?" Sokka did a circling motion with his finger.
"Aang that is ridiculous!" Katara yelped.

"Twinkle toes finally lost it.." Toph sighed.

"Really??? Gee! Well, here have this picture of her." Latem pulled out apiece of paper from under her many alcohol bottles.

Katara takes the slip of paper.
"Wow she's beautiful!" Toph exclaimed.

"I know right- why do you do this?" Sokka rubbed his temples.

"Well now that you're familiar with her, give her this! Just in case she thinks you're a couple of bastards trying to kidnap her." Latem takes off one of her many rings. This one in particular was a round orange ring surrounded by designs of silver.

"Sure thing ma'am." Katara grabbed the ring.
"Be careful with that. That was my old friend's ring. I plan to give it to Annie when she marries" Latem sighed.

"Aye Aye Cap'm" Toph said bluntly.
