13. Ignoring

Luke's POV
Jules had been acting different. She's been keeping her distance from me and has been looking at me at all. I'm starting to worry that she is having second thoughts of dating me. I have to get her attention somehow. I know what I'll do I'll meet her in front of her locker so she'll have to look at me.

At school

(Narrator) Julie goes to her locker and once she closes it she finds Luke standing there scaring her half to death.

Me : hey wifey

Jules : hey I'm I gotta go

Me : no goodbye kiss 🥺

Damn those puppy eyes. No Julie don't give it ignore him remember Julie thought

Jules : no sorry maybe next time

Jules runs off and disappears into the crowd. No kiss goodbye? Okay I'm really nervous now. Hopefully she'll talk to me in music since we sit next to her.

Music class

Jules STILL hasn't made eye contact with me I'm dying here! My love language is touch and not having her in my arms is killing me. I've decided that if she wants to talk to me she will and there's no way for me to push her. As I finally stop I feel someone tap my shoulder and me thinking it's Jules turns around quick smiling only for me smile to drop. It wasn't Jules at all

Me : oh hey Carrie

Carrie : hey Lukie poo

Me : um what?

Carrie : so I see that you and Julie are having a tough spot. Want me to help 😏

Carrie slips her hand trying to touch my abs and I start to feel really uncomfortable. I thought Carrie was a lesbian why is she hitting on me? If this was the past I would ditch real quick since I was a player and all that. But being with Jules is changing me for the better so I don't want any of this. I push her hand away and look over to Jules whose staring back at Carrie with complete anger. Oh shit

Jules : CARRIE WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

Carrie : giving Lukie poo the attention he deserves

Jules : Carrie I thought you were gay!

Carrie : I only told you that so could get closer to Lukie

Jules gets up from her chair and mirrors Carrie and I could see the flames in her eyes. Then she starts talking In a scary voice but it was still hot at the same time.

Jules : Get. Your. Bitchy. Chicken leg thin. Hands. Off. Luke. Now.

Carrie began to shake with fear and gets away from me with Jules slapping her across the face. Damn

Me : damn thx wifey

Jules : ...

She turns not even looking at me and sits back down to continue her work. I still don't know what's going on with her but I'm not happy about it

Later that day in the garage

Me : Guys have you noticed any off about Julie lately?

Alex : yeah she seems like she's been avoiding you and spending more time around us then normal.

Reggie : I didn't notice anything weird

Alex : of course you didn't. Anyways Luke did you give her any reason to avoid you?

Me : No not that I know of. What if I did?! I don't wanna lose her when I don't even know what I did wrong!

Reg : chill dude it's probably just some girl stuff

Alex : or it could be that you are a trouble marker

Me : gee thanks Alex

Alex : I'm just saying it makes sense

Me : but I've changed since I met her. I haven't even payed attention to any other girl since I laid eyes on her

Reg and Alex both shrug and in walked Jules waving to them and completely walking past me.

Jules : Alright you guys ready to practice?

Alex : Yeah but first Julie can we ask you something

Alex don't.

Jules : sure Lex what's up?

Reg : we would like to k ow why you've been avoiding Luke

Jules : what? Idk what you're talking about

Me : come on wifey is it something I did? If yes I want to make it up to you

Jules : let's rehearse

Jules says as she sits down at her piano brushing off my comment. I don't know what I did to her all I know is me want attention for Jules and during the gig she has to give me it since that's our thing. Yknow looking into each others eyes and what not. If it backfires then I have a back up plan up my sleeve.
