After saying everybody goodbye only the ones I liked hehe
I went one last time trough the whole building

My blood went cold when I saw my parents in front of Sebastian's office talking and shaking hands with him

"H-hey Mom and Dad" I said trying not to sound nervous
My moms eyes widened as she saw me and quickly engulfed me in a tight hug
"You don't know how much we missed you"
You could've visited me but okay?
mom said her voice breaking
When she broke from our hug she looked me up and down "you've become such a beautiful young woman" my mother said "the boys are probably swooning over you" she went on
"Better not." My dads strong voice said
"Come here little princess" he said before hugging me "you're finally coming back home" dad said smiling at me
"Well Miss Hamilton" Sebastian said smiling at me "you are finally free to go" he said chuckling a little
"Thank you so much and for everything Sebastian. I hope you know how much you helped me finding the light in my life again" I said truthfully
"I'm getting paid for it so of course" Sebastian said joking
"Goodbye" I said smiling at him
"Goodbye Miss Hamilton" he said shaking my hand now
"Let's go get your stuff now" my dad said
"And again also a thank you from us Dr. Earl" my mom said

On the ride back home I was nervous as fuck
"I forgot to mention that Valeria is coming home for a few days from college" my mom said from the passenger seat
"Mhm" was all I said

"Welcome back Home Venus" my sister and brother chanted as I entered trough the door of our two story house
Vincent and Valeria hugged me tightly
"We missed you Vee" Vincent said

And for once I felt like my family didn't hate or was afraid of me
But it still felt odd

After settling in and having dinner with my family - laughing and chatting together
I got ready for bed

I FaceTimed Ian and Kate and we all made up with each other
"We gotta celebrate this" Ian said as he changed in front the camera
He must have started working out, he looks more muscular - but not as muscular as Everest
Wait what
I shrieked "No! My parents don't know that I told you guys" I said whispering
"Well... then let's do it in secret?" Kate asked her phone facing her blue wall
I sighed "no I don't even feel like celebrating something right now"
Kate appeared on my screen "why? everything good?" She asked slightly concerned
I chuckled "yes everything's good" I started
"Ian. We see you tomorrow at school byeee" I said
"Wait bu-" he started but I cut him off by removing him from the call
"Ohhh it's a girls thing" Kate said smirking jokingly

"Yes. Kind of" I started "okay Kate I want you to be completely honest with me" I said serious
Kate nodded her head "I am"
I breathed out "do you... d-do you still have feelings for Everest?" I asked avoiding her gaze
But she didn't answered so I looked up
"Kate-"
"No" she cut me off - her eyes filled with guilt
"I-I ... I didn't wanted to tell you that over the phone but... you deserve to know it" Kate said looking down
"I never had a crush on Everest or feelings for him" she spat all of a sudden
"I was jealous. Jealous of you, him
almost everybody
And I ... I like ... girls" Kate said quietly a tear falling down her cheek
My eyes widened in shock "oh Kate that is totally fine. I hope you didn't thought that stuff would change just because you are attracted to females" I said assuringly
"That's not the problem right now. The problem is that I acted as if I like Everest to hide the fact that I like girls... this one girl especially..."

I didn't knew what to say so I stayed quiet and waited for her to continue

"You Venus, I have a crush on you" Kate said crying softly
"Don't respond. I know you like Everest and he likes you and I'm accepting it now" she said wiping her eyes and nose
"Kate" I said unsure
"But we are still best friends, right?" She asked with hope in her voice
I weakly smiled at her "of course Kate"
"Okay enough of my pathetic self." Kate said sniffing her nose "sooo what happened between you and Everest?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows
"Kate you don't have to-" I started but she cut me off
"No no Vee it's fine. Really. I'm over it" Kate said

I don't really feel comfortable talking about me and Everest after she just confessed her feelings for me

She gasped "oh my- ... you did the nasty" she said laughing in disbelief
"What?! No! Are you insane?!" I whisper yelled at her
"Oh so yesterday when I heard both of you moaning like the horny teenagers you are, my mind was just playing with me" she scoffed
I hid my face behind my hands "oh my gosh you heard us?" I said embarrassed
"Yeeees. So what happened" Kate asked eagerly
"N-nothing" I tried to lie
"Vee we both know that's a lie" she said crossing her arms as I groaned
"Okay we kissed..." I said giving in

When I looked at Kate she looked like as if she's ready to jump up and down any minute

"What- oh my- Vee!" She rambled excited
"But I feel guilty about it" I said rubbing my arm
"Why?" Kate asked seriously
"Because of Madison. At first I didn't believed it myself but that girl is struggling - a-and I lied to her and broke my promise. Yes it felt good when me and Everest kissed but I always feel so guilty afterwards" I said looking down
Kate hummed "if he wants to be with you tell him to break up with Madison or whatever you two have won't work out" Kate offered
I shrugged
"But first make him want you - more than he wants you already" Kate said smiling mischievously

Oh no

"Kate what are you planning right now?" I asked cautiously
She laughed "don't worry Venus baby. I gotchu"
"I'm just really happy for you" Kate said, giving me a sad smile

I was tired but I was thinking about a lot of stuff
Im laying on my bed right now - everybody was already asleep but me
I still couldn't comprehend what Kate told me
I never noticed but now I know why she started disliking Everest when we got closer
And I thought it's because she was crushing on him

As I thought about Everest my stomach twisted at this guilty feeling I had

I know I like Everest
More than I want to admit but I know Madison will be devastated when she finds out
