Chapter thirty seven

The book explained how you can transform into your Animagus form. It can be very hard. And it can go very wrong. You can't choose your own form. Your Animagus form is gonna be closely linked to your personality.

What's that even supposed to mean?

Okay so Moony is Remus. Werewolf.
Pads is Sirius. Probably the black dog. Makes sense Sirius Black a black dog.
Wormtail and Prongs? I know Remus calls James Prongs so Pettigrew is Wormtail. And Wormtail has to be the rat. So Pettigrew is a rat? If it's closely linked to your personality, then why a rat? I'll have to look into that. So then James is a stag. When did they even do all this? When did they start being Animagus? I know Professor McGonagall is one and i think she might know about them being one too. I mean she must. But i don't think the Ministry knows. About any of this. They wouldn't let a werewolf go to this school.

I heard footsteps, so i hid under the table and stayed quiet. I tried to look who it was but i heard a voice.

'Miss Evans. You should be in your dorm and not walking around the school in the middle of the night.' i think it was Professor McGonagall

'I'm sorry Professor. I can't sleep and i need a new book. I promise I'll go right back to my dorm after finding the perfect book.' Lily said

'Miss Evans. It is very dangerous walking at night, especially on a full moon.' Professor said

'I know. I'll be very careful.' Lily said

'Hmm. Alright. I'll let it go this time. But i won't always do that. Go back after you find a book and stay in there. Good night Miss Evans.' Professor McGonagall said

'Good night Professor.' Lily said

Professor McGonagall left the library and closed the door. Lily went to look for a book and i wanted to sneak back out. Trying to get out from under the table, towards the door. My firelighter fell out of my pocket, hitting the floor.

Shit! You've got to be kidding me.
Maybe she didn't notice.

'Who's there? Marlene i swear if this is you trying to scare me, I'll get you.' Lily said

'It's me.' i said getting out from under table

'Katie? What are you doing here?' she asked

'Ahm? I wanted a book...' i hid the book under the table
'And then you came in and so i hid under the table and then Professor came in.'

'Aaa. Alright. Can't sleep?' she asked

'Not really.' i said
'Found any good books yet?'

'No. We can do something if you like. Idk go to the astronomy tower and just sit there.' she said

'Sure. So where's James?' i asked

'Uhm? With Sirius, Remus and Peter. Boys night i believe.' she said

Lily looked at the floor. She probably knew why they were gone. Or she just knew about them being Animagus.

'Hmm. Sure we can go to the astronomy tower. But didn't Professor McGonagall say to go back to the dorm and stay there?' i asked

'Since when do you listen to Professor McGonagall?' she asked

'I don't, but you do.' i said

'Yeah. Well... I just... I need to think.' she said

'Okay. Sure. You still want to find a book or go without one?' i asked

'I'll just take this one.'  she said

'What is it about?' i asked

'I have no idea.' she said

I picked up the book from under the table and hid it under my jacket. We both went up to the astronomy tower and sat down.

'What are you doing tomorrow?' Lily asked

'Nothing. You?' i asked

'Idk. Probably stay with James and the rest. Marlene is going to hogsmeade and i think so is Peter. Sirius and James are gonna stay with Remus.' she said

'Hmm. Andi and Tonks are going to hogsmeade as well and i think Reg and Sev might too.' i said

'How comes you aren't going?' she asked

'I could ask you the same thing?' i asked

'James didn't want to go. And I'm not really in the mood.' she said

'Same. Not in the mood.'
'Lily? You're very smart. What do you know about Animagus? Besides what I can find in this book.' i asked getting the book out of my jacket.

'Uh? Only what's in the book and what we learned in third year. Both the same thing. Why?' she said

'Idk. I just wanted to know more about it.' i said

'Don't tell me you wanna do it. It's very dangerous.' she said

'I know. I don't think i do. I'm just curious. Your Animagus form is linked to your personality right?' i asked

'Yes. That's what I heard.' she said

'Okay. So why do you think Professor McGonagall is a cat? I mean what personality would she have to be a cat?' i asked

'Idk. Probably cause she's caring. And kinda loves everyone. I'm not sure.' she said

'What do you think my form would be?' i asked

'I really don't know. I mean you have a lot of personalities.' she said

'Yeah. You're right.' i laughed

'Why are you asking if you don't wanna become one?' she asked

'Idk. It's just... Nothing. Just something i think i saw. But it's probably nothing.'
'We should probably get some sleep. It's already late. And if anyone sees us, we'll get detention. Which i don't want right now.' i said

'Yeah. Let's go to my dorm. You can sleep with me.' she said

'Okay.' i said

'I would hide that somewhere if i were you.' she said pointing at my book

'Yeah. I'll put it back tomorrow.' i said

We took our books and sneaked in her dorm. Marlene was asleep. Lily and i tried to stay quiet. We laid on the bed and fell asleep a few minutes after.
