Chapter 17- Brennen's Side

Not much later, about a minute, Brennen walks in. Automatically he stands straighter. Getting ready to fight. Ever so defensive. If he were telling the truth, he wouldn't be so unprepared. 
Brennen- Sam said you needed me. What did he tell you?
Y/n- what he told me is not important. I want to know why you don't want me around Colby. I mean, your the one who always takes me from him
Brennen- He's a cheater
Y/n- you dated him, yes?
Brennen- yeah bu-
Y/n- you said it was because to tops don't work
Brennen- It was because of that bu-
Y/n- well then how do you know that these girls and guys are getting cheated on, if he never cheated on you?
Brennen- Because, Y/n! I saw it. About a week ago.. 
You look at him curiously.
Brennen- I walked into his room since I came to visit.
This is possible..
Brennen-  It was late at night, so you were probably asleep
The front door has a security alert that wakes you up nearly every time.
Brennen- When I went in there, he had a girl on his bed
How does this mean he cheats?
Y/n- go on
Brennen- He had a girlfriend at the time.
If he had a girlfriend, why was he always home? 
Y/n- So by having a girl, possibly a friend, in his bed, he's a cheater?
Brennen- She was naked
Y/n- Did you meet his girlfriend?
Brennen- no-
Y/n- so how do you know if that wasn't her?
Brennen- He described her to me. Her hair was brown rather than blonde
Y/n- hair dye
Good. He's getting frustrated. If you can manage to upset him enough, he will either accidentally tell the truth or storm out. If he storms out, he's lying. 
Brennen- why don't you just trust me?
Y/n- because you have 2 reasons to keep me from him
Brennen- yeah because he's a cheater!
Y/n- Actually, because you've sucked his dick. Also, I'm your best friend and you think he's not the one
Brennen- didn't need to go there
He says this in a frustrated growl, meaning you've hit a nerve.
Y/n- So tell me, did he have hickeys? STD's? Smell like another girl?
Brennen- what the fuck??? No! He didn't. 
Y/n- This whole time he's only worn the same scent. How come I haven't seen hickeys or smelt a perfume on him since I moved here? 
Brennen- He could cover it on his way home.
Y/n- and if everyone is supposed to be sleeping, why would he do that?
He looks a bit panicked. 
Brennen- you're awake at night?
Y/n- I'm depressed, I don't sleep
He gets frustrated again, and storms out. 
He was lying. So far Colby appears to be a player and a cheater. Wonder if anybody else is going to come explain why to stay away from the big bad man.
