RIKKI

February 23, 2014 10:00 a.m.

"Hey, Mom, Kade's going to come over for breakfast. Is that okay?" I asked as I walked into the kitchen still wearing my pajamas.

"Yes, honey, that'd be fine. When will he be over?" she asked in reply.

"In a few minutes, I would guess," I replied.

"Well, Hilda's already making pancakes so they should be ready when he gets over here."

"Thanks, Mom," I said as I headed back upstairs to get changed and let Kade know what was happening.

Kade had stayed over the previous night, and he still hadn't gotten out of my bed when I returned to my bedroom. "Kade, you're clear for breakfast," I said as I walked to my closet to grab clothes for the day.

Kade sat up and replied, "Cool, when do they think I'm coming over?"

"In a few minutes. You could probably head back to your car now and drive up here and my parents wouldn't suspect anything. I'll see you in a few minutes, okay?" I said as I walked into my bathroom.

"So you're kicking me out?" joked Kade.

"Yes, now go so I can get ready," I said, stepping out of the bathroom so I could push Kade in the direction of the window.

"You're seriously kicking me out without kissing me goodbye?" Kade pouted as he began climbing out the window.

"Ugh, fine," I huffed as I walked over to the window and gave Kade a quick kiss. "Happy?"

"Nah, that was kind-of weak," replied Kade with a devilish smirk. I rolled my eyes and gave him another quick kiss.

"There, that's all you're getting... for now," I smiled.

Kade sighed, "Well, I guess I'll just have to wait until later then."

"Yeah, you will," I smiled. "Now go, or my parents will think you got lost."

"See you in a few minutes," Kade said as he began climbing down the ladder.

"Love you!" I called after him.

"I love you more!" he replied. I shut my window after he reached the ground, and then I returned to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

About twenty minutes later, I was ready for the day dressed in sweats with my hair in a ponytail. I heard a knock on my door and called, "Come in!"

The family butler, William, came into my room and said, "Miss Roberts, Mr. Coleman has 'arrived'." William put air quotes around the word 'arrived'.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"I think we both know what I meant."

"How long have you known?" I asked.

"To what are you referring to?" William asked coyly, like he already knew what I was talking about.

"I think you know what I'm talking about."

"If you are referring to yours and Mr. Coleman's sleepovers, then I have known for about two weeks," smirked the butler.

"How did you find out?" I asked calmly.

"Oh, you hear a lot of things around here. I believe that the entire staff knows about this. Dear Hilda told me to tell you to always use protection."

"William! It's not like that at all! I swear, Kade and I are not in that kind of a relationship," I screeched.

"Okay, okay, calm down, miss. I never said you were, I was just repeating what Hilda told me to say."
