Chapter Twenty-Nine: Roses, Dandelions, and Sweaters

Start from the beginning

They were almost certain everyone could see them, but they didn't seem to care.  The news that they were dating based on all the photos that were took of them were bound to confirm that they were dating to the public.  Both smiled at the thoughts in silence.

Adrien was about to say something when he saw Marinette get distracted.  She was looking at a patch of grass next to them.  Adrien didn't really see anything that was so specail about the plot of land until she swooped down and picked something out of the ground...

A dandelion.

Adrien felt the memories of Ladybug rejecting him flood back as she twirled it in her hands.

Marinette was focused on the weed for what ever reason, before blowing it out.

The dandelion cloud spread apart in all directions and was picked up by the wind, to float away. Adrien looked at her curiously.

Marinette smiled.

"I made a wish."

Adrien laughed at her innocence and sweetness.

"What did you wish for?"

Marinette hesitated.  She looked down and started playing with her hands.  Before looking back up to see Adrien.

Marinette had used the dandelion to wish for him.

Adrien took the hint pretty quickly and pulled her into a kiss.

The sun was setting and the colors were smearing across the sky as both broke away and continued their walk.

Adrien couldn't help but smile.

Marinette suddenly broke away from his hands to reach for something in her bag.  Adrien gave her a pout before Marinette pulled out a black sweater.  Adrien looked at her curiously before she sheepishly passed it to him.

It was a black sweater with mini green paw prints.  Adrien gaped.  His hands felt through the soft fabric.  It was perfect.  He immediately put it on.  It fit just right.

He smiled and showed her.  Marinette giggled still blushing.

"Thank you, Princess." He said before kissing her on the forehead again.

"And hey look:" Adrien then looked both ways to make sure no one would see what he was about to do before doing a catwalk down the sidewalk.

Marinette laughed and ran up to join him.  Clasping onto his arm again they continued to walk along the streets of Paris.

Everything was perfect for the two, but Marinette couldn't help but feel guilty of the secret she was keeping.

They kept walking until now if was Adrien's turn to stop as he picked a rose.

"For you, Princess." He grinned.

The rose was beautiful.  It was a deep red as the petals' tips on the edge turned into a deep maroon.

Marinette looked at it lovingly and pulled it close to her heart before smiling to herself.
