Wanting to be away from there quickly. Before the woman called the cops on him. That would really not look good. He took a few steps toward his truck we he heard a noise. Looking back he saw that she had dropped something she had been carrying and she didn't look too well. He quickly sprinted towards her. Catching her before she fell to the ground.

His quick thinking came handy at this time as he quickly took his badge out of his pocket.

"I'm an officer mam, if you don't mind can I help you inside?" He asked, showing her his badge.

"Please." She whispered, now that she was one hundred per cent certain of who he was after reading his name on his badge.

'So this was Sanems husband' she thought. 'Well better late then never' Layla waddled into the house with his support. Her legs had given way. If it hadn't been for his quick thinking she would have landed on the floor.
There were two reasons he would have been walking back to his truck. One, he had second thoughts or two which was that he had thought he'd Come to the wrong house. These was Laylas thoughts, anyone who did not know the sisters would never think them as siblings. Because of how different they looked.

"I'm sorry, this pregnancy has taken it out of me. Especially in these final weeks. I'm due any day." She told him not knowing what possessed her to tell him this.

"If you don't mind mam, should you be alone?" He asked, as he helped her to the sofa.

"I'm not normally, I have my sister with me. She's gone out for the day. My husband was with me but an emergency came up at work." She explained. Again not knowing why she was giving him unnecessary information.

"Will you be ok?" He asked as he helped her settle.

'When we he going to notice Sanems picture' Layla thought. His concentration had been one hundred percent on her. Now watching him as he raised his head looking around. There...he spotted their family picture hanging on the wall.

"I'll be just fine now that you officer." She told him. "Thank you so much. I'm just sorry I couldn't help you."

She watched him as his eyes were still glued to the picture. Waiting for him to say something...but nothing. He was still just standing there.

Was Sanem's picture really hanging on the wall. No it couldn't be, he did a double take...now looking more throughly. Confirming to himself that it was her. What was she doing in a family picture. 'Maybe she was a friend of the family' he thought. Mentally shaking his head. Idiot nobody hangs a friend of the familys picture on the wall in their living room. Well that was his thinking maybe this woman...he looked down at her. She had said something but he had been focused on the picture.

"I'm sorry?" He asked.

"I said I'm sorry I couldn't help."

He walked over to the picture, pointing to her. "This woman...where would I be able to find her?" He asked.

"Sanem...That's my sister. " She told him.

He stumbled back unsure he had heard correctly.

"Y...your sister." He couldn't believe it. "Sanem is your sister." He asked in disbelief.

"Please come and take a seat officer. Let me introduce myself." Layla told him.

"You knew who I was?" He asked her. Coming back to where she was on the sofa.

"No...not at first, when I saw your name on your badge. I'm not completely out of my mind that I would let any stranger into my house officer. Please sit down we have so much to talk about." She told him.
