"Ayhan...it wasn't a threat. I loved her even then. I was an idiot and it took me that long to admit it to myself. These feelings were ailan to me." He paused. "All I'd ever know and loved was my job, I'd made it that way. I would never have imagined to meet and fall in love with anyone. For me my job was everything." He told her.

"Well did you tell her this?" She asked.

"I would have but she never give me the chance." He paused. "I love her Ayhan. I want the chance to put things right. Please I need your help." He almost pleaded.

"Look Can, I don't want to interfer." She said hesitantly looking at him.

"You know her better than anyone. I mean she must have told you of her feelings." He told her.

"Well...What can I do?" She asked.

"I need her address, her sisters address." He told her.

"You're a policeman surly you can find a simple address?" She asked him.

"My office don't know that I'm married." He told her. "I can't ask for a search of any address without giving good reason."

"And your Anne. I don't want any trouble for Sanem. She's already been through enough."

"There won't be I promise." He told her. He was counting on his Baba for that.

Ayhan was in two minds. On the one hand Sanem had told her she wanted to start afresh, wanted this whole business over. But then on the other had she knew Sanem had feelings for him. That she loved him even though she hadn't admitted it. Maybe even to herself. Closing her eyes she made the decision she though was for the betterment of her sister.

He entered the house in the afternoon. His Anne was in the kitchen, coming round he didn't know how she was going to react to seeing him.

"Anne how are you feeling?" He asked quitly.

She kept her back towards him, taking her time to answer.

"I'm fine." She finally answered. "So you've found your way home. Finally stopped avoiding me...humm" She told him now turning around.

"Anne I wasn't avoiding you. You were asleep when I left. I had a few errands to run and now I'm back." He told her.

She sat at the table, gestering him to also sit.

"The past few days have been some that I'd like to forget." She told him.

"I'm sorry Anne..." Can started but she interrupted.

"Please son let me finish, your Baba explained everything to me last night." She paused taking a deep breath. "He told me about the baby." she chocked back tears. "My poor baby." She cried.

Can got up and went to his Anne, and putting his arms around her. She gently pushed him away.

"I'm really sorry and disapointed, in my self and my son's." She told him. Seeing his head raise quickly. "Yes I am, I didn't raise you to lie and disrespect woman. We'll get to that but first myself." She said pausing for a moment.

Can knew how hard this was for her. His Anne was a strong confident proud woman who rarely made mistakes. Admiting she had made a mistake was difficult...but she did.

"In my life I have never made a mistake such as I have done. I behaved in an unjust manner towards Sanem. For this I will never forgive myself." She told him

"Anne please don't..." He started but she put a finger to his lips.

"When Omer explained things last night. He told me Sanem wanted him to stop the facade as soon as she came here. Straight after meeting us. I felt ashamed of myself. I thought I was a good judge of character and look at me." She shook her head. "How I spoke to her, not just her but disrespecting her parents." She held her head between her hands.
