Dream laughed. "Nice try, George."

George looked serious. "Um..Do I know you-? Where even am I?!"

Dream froze, a shiver going up his spine. "You're serious?"

"Why wouldn't I be? I mean, you sound familiar, but I dunno.."

His heart dropped like a stone. It shattered like shards of ice for the second time within less than 12 hours. "W-what?"

George looked around, bewildered. "What is this- am I in a hospital?!"

"D-do you actually not r-remember m-e?" His voice started cracking in pain.

"I'm serious! Why am I in a hospital?!"

Anxiety started slowly creeping up all throughout his body. "U-uhm I f-found you passed out on the f-floor, s-so I call-" He took in a shaky breath. "I called the ambulance."

"Oh.." He hesitated. "So- who are you? You sound really similar to one of my friends.. but I've never seen him before."

"U-uhm first, how much do you remember-?"

He thought for a moment. "I remember uhm- I was getting ready to go to the airport.."

"Wait. so how do-"

Oh, right. He hadn't seen my face at that time.

"Nevermind. Okay, well I'm Dream, u-uhm, yeah. We met up and you were staying at my apartment and yesterday I-.." He paused. "I just wanna say sorry, even though you might not remember what had happened."

"What do you mea-" He stopped mid-sentence as they both heard footsteps getting louder and louder. A doctor walked into the room.

"Hello, are you Clay?"

"I am." He responded dully.

"Okay, so George's mother wasn't able to make it here for some reason.. Anyways, we've found out that George was hyperventilating, and as we found him at your estate, he must've become unconscious and fell back, causing him to hit his head, giving him a concussion. We asked if he remembered anything, and he couldn't recall where he was or why he was. We think he has some memory loss, but it can be restored. He'll be staying here only for a few days." She waited for a comment, in which Dream had nothing to say. He was speechless.

"I'll leave you guys to chat." Just as quickly as she came, she left.

Dream froze in shock, tears filling his eyes. He blinked, making tears spill out onto his cheeks.

It's all my fault. Fuck..

He turned to George. "G-george please, just remember me. I'm Dream, I'm your best f-friend."

"Uhm.." George shuffled in his bed uncomfortably.

"Please! I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry.." He lowered his head, tears gushing out. "How can I prove to you that it's me.."

"Uhm... I dunno, I guess. What's your real name?

"C-clay."

"Who's your best friends and their real names?"

"You, which you're George, and Sapnap, and he's Nick."

"Hmm..Only Dream would know this, but what did I once say that I wanted to go to to ask someone out?"

"Uhhh, you never told me anything like that??"

George smiled. "So it is you. I was wondering why you sounded so familiar." He giggled. "Well, since I've never told you this, it's a gazebo."
