With his heart-stopping smile aimed at me, the urge to kiss him hit me with the force of freight train.

Do you like him or 'like' him?

I think...

I think I have a crush.

Nooooooooo.

Goddammit! This cannot be happening.

I have a crush on my business partner.

I squeezed my eyes shut as soon as the thought registered in my head. I cannot have feelings for Veer. He was the most wrong man in my life for me to have feelings for.

Veer was a guy with everything at his feet. A man known as the most admired billionaire bachelor in town. A man with woman lining up to be with him.

A man who may or may not want to be with me.

I groaned mentally. God! What do l do now?

Get off his lap for starters

I stiffened when the words sunk in. I was still seated between Veer's leg. My hands were on his muscled chest. One of his arms was around my waist while his other hand rested on my cheek. My face coloured at the the space or lack thereof between him and l.

It took Veer one look at my flushed face and the darting of my eyes between us to burst out laughing. "Are you feeling shy, lioness?" He asked in his deep, husky voice.

"No," l grumbled even as l positioned my hands to push him away. Veer chuckled, wrapped both his arms around me and pulled my flush against his hard body. His woody deo filling my senses.

"You are adorable," he murmured, dipping his head to bury his face in my hair. My heart leapt in my chest but my actions halted at his words. Dropping my hands, l melted into Veer, silently letting his strength calm me.

We sat on the floor in tranquility for a few minutes before the intercom buzzed on Veer's desk. He gave me a regretful look and reluctantly removing his arms from around me. He helped me up before moving towards the intercom.

"Hello?" He asked picking up the receiver. I spied my bag on one of the chairs and staggered towards it. Scavenging through it, l plucked out a wet tissue to put on my sore eyes.
