Before I begin, I would like to scream HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021 to each one of you reading this!

2020 was indeed a very difficult year for all of us. Hopefully, 2021 will be the recovery year for the world and us!

Before I rant out my today's topic, I would like to ask every Aspie this question: have you ever had an experience where people find it difficult to read you, or you finding it difficult to read others?

Have you? Yes?

Sometimes, I wonder how humans, in general, can communicate with others at the right time at the right place

Sometimes, I wonder how humans, in general, can communicate with others at the right time at the right place. How they independently come up with methods of communication and make things work—I admire those people.

Cause I don't think I could come up to that level myself.

Thing is, I don't know how to communicate independently. It was a challenge that could either be messy or ambiguous. And because of that, we tend to be labelled as rude or disrespectful in the eyes of others.

I have countless times where I approached others in the stupidest way possible, like throwing my small social-self groups of people, unprepared

Things like cracking jokes as my form of intro in a serious conversation, straight-up forgetting to thank the teachers when I ask questions—I have plenty of stories that I chose not to share cause to this day, I'm still embarrassed about it

As you can see, others expect us to know what we're doing when communicating and adjust our style according to the situation.

I wasn't able to do that at all.

For example, if informal meetings in a workplace, I will be the quietest one in the room. Meanwhile, my mind is reeling with ways to talk about my point without offending others—only to end up with that direction.

And instead of taking our points, they take the fact that you're rude and inconsiderate.

Like bruh, I am considerate but I don't know how to show that I am.

Overall, this is such a complex thing that even I couldn't explain.

What do you guys think? Do you think that this is a problem among us?

Any tips on overcoming this?

Let me knowwwww in the comments!
